They want to blame trans women for the things cishet men sometimes do, same as it ever was, because their very existence is a challenge to the idea that they had to be "men".

A lot of the whole mythos of "men" is that "men don't really get to choose, they just gotta be what they gotta be." It's kind of hard to maintain that kind of mythos when you have some other crowd who heard all that, said "nah", and did their own thing.

It becomes offensive to the reason they ever stopped fighting the change of their own bodies, the only reason they ever had to gave in on gender and decided to be a man in the first place!

It's terrifying! It HAS to be a lie because of it wasn't what meaning or purpose did their own acceptance of gender, perhaps over rather mixed feelings, have? But it's no lie, and it's OK to have second thoughts on gender.

The cult of normativity is a dark place to live.

I remember the days when it was the right-wing media says the dumbest things. And actually the far right side of it, the Michael Savages. Then it became more mainstream and Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin joined the crowd with outlandish statements. Then it started slowly leaching into the GOP with statements here and there. Now we have elected GOP crackpots in the House, who talk like the right-wing media did 10 to 15 years ago... and contribute to solutions as much as the radio hosts did as well... as in none. Gotten so bad, the base elected an air bag to the White House... and they've given the keys to the party to said air bag... who knows nothing about success and only about taking other people's money for his own.

It is not to say that ALL GOP voters are idiots, but it cannot be denied that the GOP has a near lock on the idiot vote. There would be exceptions for some Downs Syndrome patients; many of them are defined as idiots yet have extreme sensitivity to people harboring high degrees of malice and anger. Those would be excepted, but most such folk have already been deemed unqualified to vote.
Anyhow, should the GOP prevail this fall, we can all rest easy knowing we are being led by idiots.

The GOP is suffering from true believers in the right-wing media. They grew up with Limbaugh, Levin, Savage, and they are all in. Then you have the professionals like Stefanik who sold their souls for political power. They don't believe any of it, but saw where the alt-right populist winds were blowing and seized on them.

There are underperformers in both parties, but the difference between a Rep. Omar and Rep. Greene is that Rep. Omar has some level of principles she is adhering to. I don't agree with some of the stuff she sells, especially how she sells it (Rep. Ocasio-Cortez is much better at it), but she is trying to get something done. Rep Greene, Boebart, and the likes are just Web Board trolls that managed to get elected.

Look at the roughly 150 of their legislators who voted AFTER the riot to decertify Biden's win. Unprecedented (or, as Trump spells it, unpresidented) in our history (well, I guess the CSA is a precedent, at that.) No way to sugar coat the anti-American slant of this bunch. Party over country, and Trump over all.
