My Ipod classic appears to have stopped working. It appears unable to turn on or to get charged. Does anyone have any ideas on how to revive it?

I am averse to opening this one up if I can avoid it because history tells me I am more likely make it worse.

Does Apple have an exchange program? Swap your device for a refurbished unit at lower than new cost.

Take it to store.

Bite the bullet and get a new one.

If all else fails plug wires into an electrical outlet and put them across the device...

Thank you. I did find a place nearby that may be able to fix it. At least they can open it up and see what needs to be done.

I tried cleaning the recharging port with a tooth pick then forced air, and voila, it charges up and works!

Do you buy the forced air that comes with the voila already in it, or buy it seperately and add a pinch of voila to the airstream as it leaves the can?
