In case there's someone here who hasn't noticed, the table is set for the next Russia-style "election" that Trump will "win" with at least 70% of the vote (count) in 2028.

“We want Trump in ‘28... We want Trump! We Want Trump!,”

Donald Trump is once again entertaining the prospect of serving an unconstitutional third term as president as he asked a crowd of supporters whether he should run again.
The president basked in chants of “four more years” just one month into his second term while at a White House reception celebrating Black History Month on Thursday.
Trump’s suggestion came just days after referring to himself as a “king” and quoting Napolean Bonaparte, unsubtly stating that he was above the law.

I'm guessing November 2028 will be the official funeral date for the Democratic Republic we were all born into, if future history books contain any accounting.
The thing about democracy is that it is like a finicky plant that will die soon after you stop tending it.
We stopped tending it in 1974 when Nixon escaped consequences for his 1972 crimes.
Seems that those in power are shrugging it off already. They could be howling at the top of their lungs, but with the King watching, their careers would be terminated.
There will be no getting out of this death spiral; it has been predicted for a decade already, and no steps have ever been taken to forestall the full implementation of dictatorship. Now, IMHO, it is about a decade too late.

Yeah, people also tend to get squeamish with the care instructions, and nobody can seem to agree where to drill the well...

Even if you believe your own conspiracy theory, Trump is not going to live that much longer anyway. There are soo many bigger problems America has right now (citizens united?) that deserve more attention than whether or not an 80 year old somehow pulls off another 4 year term.

Yeah, it's not like the Constitution of the United States being ignored is a big deal. It's not as though that document was in any way important.

The way people bang on about it, you'd think it served as the very foundation if everything the nation was built on, or as the fundamental basis of just government.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Trump is not going to live that much longer anyway.
From your lips to God's ears. But ... What are you suggesting? King Donald II?
conspiracy theory
CONSPIRACY THEORY? Are you accusing your idol of engaging in a conspiracy theory about his third term?
Here's his denial of trying to overturn the Constitutional 2 term limit:

*During a Black History Month event at the White House, Trump asked the crowd, "Should I run again? You tell me," which prompted chants of "four more years"
*In Las Vegas, he said "It will be the greatest honor of my life to serve not once, but twice or three times or four times"
*Trump raised the reelection question with Speaker Mike Johnson during a retreat, saying, "Am I allowed to run again, Mike? You better not get involved in that"
*Trump thinks of himself as a monarch, proclaiming "Long live the king!" after dismantling New York City's congestion pricing idea...

So, RV, who is the conspiracy theorist, me or your Donald?

Of course amending the Constitution to allow this would require a two-thirds majority in Congress and ratification by three-fourths of the states, so the OBVIOUS plan is to do away with that annoying Constitution. That way, even if he does mercifully croak, his halfwit offspring can carry on the Royal lineage.
Watch and learn, Vonse. He has been laying the groundwork for doing away with that particular obstacle to his mega-maniacal ambitions, for years.

"A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution" - DJT 2022

The message being that the alleged (and unevidenced) fraud in the 2020 election justified overturning the Constitution.
Trump has continued to make allusions to serving beyond the constitutionally mandated two-term limit.
Just last month, a group of Trump loyalists were in the early stages of a campaign to rewrite the Constitution to allow him to serve another term. The threshold for adoption of the re-written "Constitution" can be tweaked or ignored to accommodate the King's mandate.

Trump's false claims about the 2020 election and have underscored his lack of commitment to democratic norms and the U.S. Constitution.
As "President" he is sworn to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution" but his calls to terminate it, could be charged as a violation of his oath and get him executed for treason.
Due to that exposure, there is no way in a frozen over Hell that this guy will EVER leave office alive, even if he lives to be 200 like his waterfowl imitating Doctor (whose name the demented fuck can't even remember) predicts.

Riiiight - ignoring one part of the US constitution is a much bigger problem than throwing the whole thing out the window.

You are on the opposite side of what you are saying you want to be on.

This from a 9/11 Truther.

*just about any thing happens*
Tyranny! Tyranny! Tyranny!

*actual tyranny or suggestion of Trump trying to Dictator it up*

I agree that Citizens United is a “bigger” problem. But maintaining a constitutional framework within which it might be addressed is a more urgent one. There will be no need to repeal C.U under a full dictatorship. Dear Leader controls whose vote counts, and how much it counts.
The guys that own Trump (Putin 43%, Musk 26.%) can only be disempowered in the US by getting rid of Trump. The fascists could still get the next presidency; Putin will buy whoever he thinks he can most easily manipulate, but it took a half century for them to grow a trump and it won’t be easy to find someone with his stupidity, malleability and access.
