Well... it's Trump... again. #47, here we go.

It's that raised eyebrow that sells him. It's the look: "Listen to me, Gabriela. Jou mama on the plane now. You want to join her, with a bag of M&Ms, or jou want to stay here, without mama? Jour choice. Mama and M&Ms? Or no mama, no M&Ms? OK, then, turn around, I got to zip tie you."

Where, how, is Rump doing his recruting?
Did this kid get the kickback money from mowing lawns?
Is he one of Musk's kids?
Most of Rump's appointees are opponets of the department they are appointed to.
So this kid must be a terrorist wantabe.

Maybe it's this kid.

California here. How much did you pay? I need a a good laugh to start my day.
I paid $6.50 for an 18 pack of grade A large.
I think our WalMart has the 18 flats at that same price. But we avoid buying food from Walmart other than packaged/canned/frozen stuff. Their produce and “fresh” food isn’t as good as it looks, and it looks pretty bad.
$14.39 for an 18 pack at my store. 😳
They're coming down! Woo hoo! Now at $11.49 for an 18 pack.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that the United States will get magnets and rare earth minerals from China under a new trade framework and that tariffs on Chinese goods will total 55%.

In return, Trump said, the U.S. will provide China “what was agreed to,” including allowing Chinese students to attend American colleges and universities. The Republican president had recently begun to clamp down on the presence of Chinese nationals on U.S. college campuses.
This is the fucking deal!? And the market is reacting positively to it?

He arrived at that figure, according to a White House official, by adding together an array of preexisting duties and not any new tariffs. The president combined the existing 20% tariffs over illegal drugs and migration with 10% "Liberation Day" tariffs, with other sector-specific duties in place that average out to 25% but only apply to certain goods.

Outside analysts, such as the budget lab at Yale, have calculated that the effective tariff rate on China overall is more like 33%.

A variety of market observers quickly weighed in hours after Tuesday evening’s unveiling to suggest that the deal may not have a lot of meat on the bones, but at least relations are no longer moving in the wrong direction.
So did the 100+% tariff stunt work and normalized a 33% effective tariff rate? How is the 33% rate going to bring any production back? All it will do is increase the price of goods in the US. Trump traded almost nothing to get something bad.

As always, the market is not the economy. Everyone could pay 33-145% more for stuff and the markets can still find a way to make money. Peons are stuck with delayed market moves in their 401ks; if they even have marketplace investments at all.

Gold moving up (and down) at the same time stocks has been an interesting part of this administration. They normally move opposite.

The Trump Admin is leading with the big bill will reduce deficit spending by $8 trillion. Most analysts say it will increase the deficit spending by $3 trillion. Both over a period of 10 years.

Interestingly enough, even if it did reduce deficit spending by $8 trillion, that doesn't come close to balancing the budget.

In general, the Trump Admin expects increased growth... however, the bill is only status quo'ing the tax rates. So, growth increase from the last few years seems baseless as the tax code would be about the same. Then they have the typical lofty GDP growth. And they have all that tariff income... I mean the import tax. Of course, the import tax is probably impossible to actually include in this as if a Democrat won in 2028, they would likely disappear, as the tariffs aren't enact by Congress.

Trump announces travel bans to 12 nations... which include nations he is trying to send refugees back to. Like Haiti and Afghanistan. The action also restricts travel from several more nations that he is trying to send refugees back to, like Venezuela.
Which actually make sense
IF you think that it's reasonable to treat people as a homogenous and unvarying bloc based solely on their nationality*.
--he's not allowing in people from countries with too high an overstay rate.
Better not to allow people in if they are likely to overstay based on an individual visa application, regardless of whether they are coming from Haiti or Canada.

Should you be treated as a problem gambler, because you come from Las Vegas? Or should we look into your personal case before jumping to that conclusion?

Do ALL entrants to the USA from Afghanistan overstay their visas?

* Top tip: If you do think this, then you are a racist and are engaged in explicit racism as you do it - even if you would like to imagine that racists are always someone else.
The thing is the application process is clearly flawed if the overstay rate is high.

Oh, well then. Clearly the only possible answer is to introduce an even more flawed system, rather than fix the flaws that are currently present. :rolleyesa:

I don't know how much more Trump I can take. Even if the GOP lays off the dictatorship angle, Trump overload is going to end me and I'll just implode one day.

President Donald Trump is warning Iran that it needs to “make a deal” with the United States as “already planned attacks” could be “even more brutal.”
Trump hasn't made a single deal worth a damn in the first six months of being in office. He clearly can't make a deal., he doesn't know how to make a deal. Yet, he keeps saying it, trying to reinforce an ability he does not have. Carter was one of the most ineffective Presidents in our time, yet, he managed the biggest Middle East deal in our nation's history!

To make things even more absurd, he says Iran needs to make a deal with the US... and now... even though it was Israel is who attacked them.

Meanwhile, as Trump is protecting us from undocumented immigrants with jobs...

article said:
WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump said he plans to make changes to his administration's aggressive crackdown on illegal immigration to protect migrant farmers, hotel workers and others in the leisure industry who have been among those deported.

Trump promised the changes in a June 12 Truth Social post that acknowledged Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers have expanded arrests beyond just migrants convicted of violent crimes, who Trump officials have said are the primary targets of raids and deportations.

"Our great Farmers and people in the Hotel and Leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace," Trump wrote on the social media platform he owns.

He added that in many cases "Criminals allowed into our Country by the VERY Stupid Biden Open Borders Policy" are applying for these jobs.

"This is not good. We must protect our Farmers, but get the CRIMINALS OUT OF THE USA. Changes are coming!" Trump said.
I can't stand the absolute of lack of any principal or position. Car dealership wind sock puppets are more stable than Trump.
