• Welcome to the Internet Infidels Discussion Board.

Well... it's Trump... again. #47, here we go.

I saw the article title that said 2 to 1... then I saw the word plurality in your quote. *bleep*

Seriously... the plurality of those polled said they were against it, the second highest... have no opinion, back in third... support for the tax bill. 50% more people have no opinion verses those who support the bill.

It gets even weirder. Just under 50% of Republicans support the tax bill. And 38% of Republicans have no opinion. WTF?!

42% of independents have no opinion.

But wait... there is more. The polling team asked what they supported / didn't support in the House bill. In general, they supported the handouts to themselves and against the cuts to handouts and benefits to the corporations.

Sure glad they voted for the Republicans. But is okay, because 2/3's of those polled hadn't even really heard about the tax bill. IE, the only "fucking thing" Congress is working on.

I do wonder if the Republicans will cave to support their master. Oddly enough, parts of the Senate bill are even more cruel than what the House has passed. All we can do is hope that people vote against these cruel people in the midterms next year as well as attending protests and rallies etc.
Yes, they will cave. They always seem to cave.

President Donald Trump told reporters on Air Force One that he’s seeking “a real end” to the conflict with Israel and Iran, arguing it’s better than a ceasefire while also suggesting that giving up entirely on negotiating is a possibility.

Asked what is better than a ceasefire, as he alluded to in a Truth Social post, Trump said “an end, a real end, not a ceasefire. An end. Or giving up entirely. That’s OK, too.”
While I agree a real end would be great... umm... while "Only Nixon could go to China", I don't think Trump is up to a Nobel Peace Prize proposal. Getting the Theocracy in Iran to stop harming Israel and give up their nuclear program would take a huge giveaway to them. I honestly don't see that being possible. Trump sucks at "making deals".

An Iran-Israel peace deal would require solving Gaza, West Bank, Iran's nuclear program, and funding of Hamas.

Wow. That gal was feeling no pain. Toward the end of her bit (and clearly, the two correspondents were just aching for her to stop), she tries to say (I think) Donald John Trump, but it comes out as Dollar Jean Trump. I played it three times, and that's as close as I could come. That was followed by 'prioritizing', another tough hill to climb. Never ask a drunk to say prioritizing. It's just not fair.

Meanwhile, as Trump is protecting us from undocumented immigrants with jobs...

article said:
WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump said he plans to make changes to his administration's aggressive crackdown on illegal immigration to protect migrant farmers, hotel workers and others in the leisure industry who have been among those deported.

Trump promised the changes in a June 12 Truth Social post that acknowledged Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers have expanded arrests beyond just migrants convicted of violent crimes, who Trump officials have said are the primary targets of raids and deportations.

"Our great Farmers and people in the Hotel and Leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace," Trump wrote on the social media platform he owns.

He added that in many cases "Criminals allowed into our Country by the VERY Stupid Biden Open Borders Policy" are applying for these jobs.

"This is not good. We must protect our Farmers, but get the CRIMINALS OUT OF THE USA. Changes are coming!" Trump said.
I can't stand the absolute of lack of any principal or position. Car dealership wind sock puppets are more stable than Trump.
And it continues....

article (my emphasis) said:
The Department of Homeland Security on Monday told staff that it was reversing guidance issued last week that agents were not to conduct immigration raids at farms, hotels and restaurants — a decision that stood at odds with President Donald Trump’s calls for mass deportations of anyone without legal status.

Officials from Immigration and Customs Enforcement, including its Homeland Security Investigations division, told agency leaders in a call Monday that agents must continue conducting immigration raids at agricultural businesses, hotels and restaurants, according to two people familiar with the call. The new instructions were shared in an 11 a.m. call to representatives from 30 field offices across the country
So new guidance reversed the other guidance on a certain field of worker last week which reversed the original guidance. So was Trump lying or is he simply not in control?

Another bit of the military protest.. apparently at one point in the parade the song Fortunate Son was played.

For those who don't know it, the song is about how during Vietnam, some people did not get drafted
"It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no senator's son, son"

I'd put this in a day without stupid, but it relates to something not stupid.
Pres. Donald Trump on Truth Social said:
We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured “stuff.” Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA.
Does the President even know what "complete and total control of the skies" mean?

I mean, yes, American made or apparently inspired "stuff" <- his fucking quotes not mine, can be quite useful is obtaining "complete and total control of the skies", but the statement being made is suggesting a massive escalation against Iran... and I think you just mean Israel is shooting down most of the missiles.

The Truth Social Diplomatic Diarrhea just keeps coming.
Pres. Trump said:
We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target but is safe there — We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
And then he follows up with.
Pres. Trump said:
UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER
Making one wonder, does he know what that term means?

It is good that the media reports these posts on his Boutique social media site, because no one would actually know that he was emoting this crap.

Right from touchdown in Kananaskis, observers were struck by Donald Trump’s unusually disheveled, low-energy appearance and ongoing jackassery. And yes, there was “a smell.”

The former president looked pale and lethargic – “very unwell,” as one report bluntly put it, with speculation swirling about possible “dementia [and] serious physical and mental decline” in the background of his trip. Instead of the bombastic confidence he usually projects, a sickly-looking Trump shuffled into the summit, appearing anything but steady. Five minutes in, Trump’s decline, stupidity, and lies were on full display as he descended into a meltdown upon arrival, with White House staffers on site apparently exchanging worried glances; it was clear this would not be a normal G7.

  • Slurred speech and fumbles: During his opening remarks, Trump spoke haltingly and slurred some words, at times trailing off mid-sentence. At one point, he dropped a stack of briefing papers, visibly fumbling to recover them as cameras rolled.
  • He fell asleep less than an hour into kicking off the G7 meetings:

  • Geographical mix-ups: The president even confused basic country names, at one moment referring to the United Kingdom as “the EU” while discussing trade – a gaffe that drew puzzled looks from other leaders.
  • “Not all there” vibe: The overall impression, noted one attendee, was of a man not entirely in command of his faculties. This worrying start had insiders in a panic, with reports that Trump’s team was already strategizing how to limit his public exposure at the summit.
  • And yes, according to insiders, there was an ‘odor’ coming from the President.
  • Trump refused to participate in even basic discussions, appearing to ignore or misunderstand some proceedings altogether.

I'm old enough to remember when Trump apologists kept insisting he's more anti-war than Biden or Obama.

Well, hundreds if not thousands of mental health professionals warned voters that Trump is mentally ill and in the early stages of dementia. I will never understand how this incompetent maniac was elected either time.

  1. uncited claims
  2. timeframe grab
  3. mentioning "odor" twice
  4. sub-stack
I'm sorry, but I can' take this seriously. Can be true, but red flags waving everywhere.

Technically he wasn't particularly good enough for the job when mentally competent. He was shit at negotiations, used lawyers to get away with what he would later call deals, and his business gut was wrong almost every time. Any mental incompetence would be on top of his general incompetence as a businessman.

I agree but I don't think he was ever mentally competent and of course, he never was successful at anything other than manpulating people who were, shall we say too ignorant to know better....
