Trump's Appointments

Kristi Noem: "ICE agents are not racist. They don't care if you're black, brown, yellow or normal."
Faaaaaake.
Nope. It's real. Nope, its fake.

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, who also serves as the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, has made the statement: “ICE agents are not racist. They don't care if you're black, brown, yellow or normal”.
This comment has drawn attention, particularly the use of the term "normal" to categorize people who are not "black, brown, or yellow".
Per Gemini.

Fixed it for you.

Noem didn't say 'ICE agents are not racist. They don't care if you're black, brown, yellow or normal'

Reminds me of Dorothy Parker's response when informed that Calvin Coolidge had died.
"How can they tell?"
As usual, the antics of these comic book fascists defy satire.

Why in the world are you trusting an AI???

It does us no good to circulate falsified stories as though they were fact.
Right. Its actually harmful to your cause/side. People will find out its false and after a few more times of catching you in a lie, they'll be highly distrustful of anything and everything you put out...even the true stuff. Think about the old fable of The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

Hasn't hurt your side. Got the GOP complete control of the federal government.

Trust? Nah. It's just fun an games at this point. Fuck everybody.

The quote wouldn't have gained the traction if it seemed at all implausible. But it seemed quite realistic, ordinary even.
Had it been attributed to a top official of any other administration I doubt that anyone would have noticed.

Then why make something up out of whole cloth, if there is so much low hanging fruit to pick that is true? One of the main complaints about Trump (and Republicans in general) is that he lies and makes up shit. Which is true. But then his detractors recklessly go and do the same thing!

I get what you're saying.
But the fact remains that nobody from another administration could say such a thing and have it be credible.
That's the real problem, that's the sort of thing that Trumpistas regularly say without understanding the irony.

I don't know about that. Surely you know Biden's long history of racial insensitivity and gaffes. But, yeah, if someone made up a racially insensitive remark and falsely attributed it to Biden, it would seem plausible. But its still wrong.

Sure, but at what cost?

On another thread there's a quote from Reagan, praising immigration for keeping America young and vibrant.

Even Nixon would resile from the current administration.

The GOP won control, and all they had to give up was their honour, integrity and dignity.

Current supporters might say that doesn't hurt, but they would be wrong. Getting control required destroying themselves - now all that can keep them from collapse is to keep a death grip on the reins of power. Once they lose that power, they will be gone for generations.

The GOP is like a drug addict; They feel euphoric because they have the power they crave, and they will do literally anything, suffer any privation, commit any crime, embrace any indignity, in order to keep that power and to get more of it.

And they mistake that euphoria for success, until it ends. And then they will look around at what they have become, and will realise that they've lost everything in pursuit of a short-term high.

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins

CNN —

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said on Tuesday during a news conference that there will be “no amnesty” for migrants and mass deportations will continue to achieve a “100% American workforce.” Rollins cited the number of adults in the Medicaid program, saying there are plenty of workers available in America.

“When you think about it, there are 34 million able-bodied adults in our Medicaid program. There are plenty of workers in America, but we just have to make sure we are not compromising today, especially in the context of everything we are thinking about right now,” Rollins said. “So, no amnesty under any circumstances, mass deportations continue, but in a strategic and intentional way, as we move our workforce towards more automation and towards a 100% American workforce.”

She seems to think that the vast majority of people on medicaid are able bodied but unemployed and that they will just become migrant workers.

According to this source, only 5% of medicaid recipients are able-bodied adults below 65 years, without dependents and working less than 80 hours a month.

Just make it impossible for them to prove compliance, they'll be dropped because of "fraud".

I disagree.
Even if Obama was quoted as saying that, the librals would be on his ass. (weither they bleieved he said it or not)
False quotes were less common, so easier believed.

Well, they are somewhat right. I have found the medical community very lacking in an understanding of nutrition. General ideas as to what constitutes a healthy diet but no ideas what to do when that's not enough of an answer.
That's the system working as designed.

Your GP/PCP has a general idea about how to spot a problem with your heart, but if they find one they have no idea how to perform bypass surgery.

Which is no problem, because they just refer you to a cardiac surgeon.

Similarly, if their general ideas about diet are inadequate, they refer you to a dietician or nutritionist.

No doctor is expected to know all of medicine, and your expectation that they might is unreasonable.
But who do they refer to? Nobody. I've had to do a lot of reading on my own, especially in regard to where the boundaries are rather than what's ideal. A piece here, a piece there, nobody with an overall picture.
The place my wife and I go to have a registered dietitian on staff.
Me too. Every medical practice that I have regularly used as an adult has given me regular diet and exercise questioning and information with the increasing frequency and emphasis with age.

Hasn’t hurt Trump of Fox News one bit up to this point.
