The Israelis have been the victims of terrorism (and at points barbaric terrorism), not persecution. The Gazans are being persecuted, many of them rightly so... some of them, probably not so much.

And where exactly is this persecution? Israel is hammering Hamas, that's not persecution. The civilians are being put in harm's way by Hamas. You could possibly call this persecution, but the goal is to frame Israel, the harm to the civilians is incidental.

What she's not saying but is added context is that UNRWA is probably infiltrated by Hamas, which is why, they will only distribute aid in such a way that Hamas gets it and can use it to buy loyalty from Gazans. Or they're not infiltrated by Hamas and they're acting like evil villains for some other reason. Allowing Hamas to survive is the worse tragedy. This is better. For both the Palestinians and Israelis. Long term.

Long run, I disagree. Hamas is the puppet da jour, doesn't mean removing them (which isn't even possible, their money and top leadership isn't in Gaza) would prevent Iran from putting a new puppet in the fray.

Where it will help is in the medium term. The more thoroughly their combat capability is smashed now the longer before the next atrocity and hammering.

The big disagreement is about why it's happening and what to do about it. How to improve the future.

At least some of the emaciated children have underlying medical conditions, which makes their use for propaganda very ghoulish.

In this case, yes, you can discern that there are other medical issues just from the photo. And multiple news organizations have quietly admitted it.
