Yes, she is Korean. She is the daughter of of a Korean Episcopalian priest who was invited to become an archbishop (iirc) of the Episcopal church of NYC and they are both living here in the US with religion based visas.

Who sent ICE agents after her? She could not have enrolled in Purdue as an international student without an active student visa. Whoever sent the agents after her would have to have known this conflict existed. If anyone cared, that is who should be answering questions.

Ya know, I remember when right-wing actors would complain how Hollywood discriminated against them because of their politics. The truth was the ones complaining tended to be shitty actors or difficult people to work with. They continently ignored some big name conservative actors like Mel Gibson or Clint Eastwood.

But I can see actual discrimination coming. What studio is eager to invest tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars in a project when the lead actor/performer could go on a drunken anti-sematic rant (Gibson), arrested for assault (Ezra Miller), posting pro-nazi shit (Kanye), or general bashing people who are gay/trans/muslim/jewish/atheist/immigrants/etc.

But now he is making songs openly praising Hitler. So what studio is willing to risk a $100 million on a film on actors that are potentially going to excuse racism, if not outright support it? It would not be not working with them because they are 'conservative', but because they are likely to show themselves has a horrible person that will cause people to avoid anything they are connected to.

What conservative actors claim they are not getting jobs because of their politics, and why don't you believe them? Just because you have two anecdotes "proving" otherwise, doesn't mean its not happening. I presume you include Dean Cain among these, since you quoted the link about him. Kanye West is not a good example. He gets shunned not so much for having conservative views at times, but because, well...he's fucking crazy. A real loose cannon! If you look at his overall behavior the last few years you will realize he drastically needs mental health help.

Is it really any surprise that someone might think they're getting not acting jobs because of their conservative/Trump support? Or that many have taken the very wise step of staying in the closet about it? Afterall, they are up against the mob...
