Having said that, russian army does appear to have a group of drone operators consisting of young men recruited from gamers community. They control drones murdering your beloved nazis from ...... Moscow.

Russia today is not a totalitarian state. Its a terrible comparisson. Russia isn't a hermetically sealed state that controls everything.

If you say anything against the main party line you'll get hit by the big state hammer. But they're Russians. They've had plenty of practice. And the Russian regime is very clear on what you can and can't say. As long as they don't speak out against the regime they're extremely free. In some sense more free. Intellectually they're free to express whatever instead of having to deal with the western woke intellectual hell (making us all collectively dumber) or British rediculous hate speech laws. The UK punishes way more people for disagreeing with the official state ideology than Russia.

The west isn't more free than Russia right now. We do more thought policing that Russia right now.

edit: And like I said earlier, if you're Russian and don't like Putin or don't want to fight... you can just leave. Bali is full to the brim of Russians who don't want to fight (and hate Putin). The Russians who stay are willingly staying... for whatever reason.

Seeing national conflicts as the natural conflicts between organisms, as if in nature, is a quite normal way of viewing the world. Donald Trump is a good example. Russians aren't all that unique and special. Nor is Barbos.

Accepting or making up lies to justify ones own side is also completely normal. As anyone who has ever been in a relationship has witnessed themselves doing, on multiple occasions. It's down to advanced emotional maturity to not do it.


And finally... the west side in the Ukraine conflict also makes up lies in order to justify our actions. Ukraine is a dysfunctional shit show of a nation dominated by gangsters and corrupt as hell. The leader of such a nation, Zelenskyy... obviously has a closet full of skelletons. But he's somehow always shown wearing a gloria.

I now have quite a lot of friends who have been in Ukraine as volonteers or soldiers. They all tell the same stories of absurd corruption and dysfunctionality on the Ukrainian side. We're also deluded about what kind of war this is. We've gilded the Ukrainian turd way more than what it deserves. Backing Ukraine is a huge gamble. There's no guarantee that a winning Zelenskyy won't turn Ukraine into a new Russia Putinstan.
