I recently got the ice cream bowl that fits on a standard kitchen aid mixer...😋

OMG - who knew that ice cream was so easy to make. My fav so far, double chocolate (use Dutch cocoa, high quality choc like Lindt), toasted walnut, caramel, and marshmallow cream. Made the caramel and marshmallow cream.

Also made white choc strawberry
Maple walnut

Anyone else?

I heard they sell ice cream in stores, so imma stick with that. 😀

When I was young my mother used to make ice cream. I have watched cooking shows such as Masterchef Australia where the contestants often make ice cream. I have thought to do so myself, but do not currently possess a power mixer. I will however get one in near future, for a few reasons - ice cream is now fairly expensive (I do buy it, I can easily afford it, and its convenient), and the lack of variety of flavours available at supermarket. For instance, I used to be able to buy mango ice cream at my local supermarket many years ago, but they don't have it anymore.
For several years I have rarely eaten ice cream (or many other deserts) but I am starting to get into it now.

When I weas a tyke in the '60s my grandma made ice cream with a hand crank model. I helped a bit, made it taste better.
I stoped eating ice cream about 2 years ago, trying to loose weight. Giving up ice cream only helped a little.
Now I binge on egg nog during the season. Egg nog ice cream when I can find it.

Cocoa powder, freeze dried coffee, crushed oreos.

Ice cream is very easy to make, custard easy, but not as easy. I always make the prior. I typically do half whole milk / half half-n-half. The trouble with ice cream is it costs close to Ben and Jerry's pints to make. But it is easier to hit your preferred taste by making it yourself.

Yes it costs more to make very high quality at home. I'm all in for it. I forgot to add that I put some expresso powder in the choc version

This thing is the bomb!
