Yet another war, this time with Iran

I suspect that in the end, ground troops are the only way to achieve any objective of stopping their nuclear ambitions or achieving regime change.
Are those the objectives? Because it’s not clear what the objectives are based solely on what the administration officials, including the President, are saying.
As far as I can tell, the key strategic objective is to make everyone think America is a serious badass that will always win the day against any threat or slight, by the use of overwhelming force.

Roll end credits. <Stiring patriotic music>

In recent years, a number of comic books have been made into movies. Now Trump
wants to make to those movies into reality, by bringing together the powerful forces of US Military might, and the highly effective simpletonism of wishful thinking and superficial* morality tales about US supremacy.

* People criticise him for being superficial, but it has the word "super" right there at the beginning, so it must be the greatest thing ever.

I believe it was our alcoholic secretary of “war” Pete Kegseth (thanks to whomever coined that) that in a speech a couple of months ago used the phrase FAFO — fuck around and find out.

This is the level of abject idiocy that out nation has been reduced to.

Fuck every singe person who voted for Trump. I hope you all suffer and die in agony.

You know, FAFO.

We have a corrupt, sociopathic madman in the White House, a corrupt, biblically inspired terrorist running Israel, a corrupt, sociopathic Nazi in the Kremlin, and a corrupt, soulless technocrat leading China.

Does anyone think this is going to end well?
Sorry, it's all your doing, China and Russia "regimes" has nothing to do with any of the problems potuses you keep democratically electing create for this planet.

Trump has said, “this isn’t boring. I’m not bored at all.” And, “It’s very exciting!”

This is the president of the United States talking about lethal war, like a toddler gushing over a bauble.

How pathetic.

How pathetic that America, this confederacy of dunces, voted this monster back into office, especially after he tried to overthrow the government and became a convicted felon.

Unbelievable.
He's simply saying out loud what Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Obama were thinking but knew better than to say.

I doubt there will be future historians to remember much of anything. Climate change or nuclear war, or both, will put paid to everything.

All this feels ominously like the on-ramp to World War III. I can easily see China finally deciding to invade Taiwan with the U.S. tied up in Iran in yet another futile war. The slaughter in both Gaza and Ukraine goes on.
That unfortunately cannot be dismissed lightly (China invading Taiwan)

Um...isn't he needed on the front line in Donbas?
No, I am training to invade France.

Yeah, sure you are. Whatever you are doing, you sure ain’t putting your pretty pink toes on the line to brutally savage innocent people. No, you are a keyboard warrior, rooting on others to be cannon fodder in the service of your Nazi master in the Kremlin.

I see no evidence that any of these presidents gushed over war like a toddler over a bauble.

The elder Bush served in World War II. He knew exactly what war was about and he despised it. That is one of the reasons that after liberating Kuwait he halted at the Iraqi border. It took his feckless idiot son to go over that border. But I don’t think that even Dubya gushed over war. It took an outright sociopathic moron like Trump to do that.

You speak of evidence in this post and in the very next one jump to a conclusion.

Yeah Jason, you make this assumption about these presidents and it is your wrong-headed foundation for everything that may flow from it.
You may happen to be right but at this time you don't know that, do you?

The "outdated information" sounds the most plausible. "Mistake" does not. It just doesn't jive with "precision weaponry". Target coordinates would have to be changed.
Iranian authorities allowing third party investigators in would surely help but that doesn't seem likely either.

Well, well, well.
US asked Ukraine for help fighting Iranian drones, Zelensky says
The irony of the US asking for help has not been lost on Ukrainians who have suffered from US President Donald Trump's erratic policy towards their defence against Russia's full-scale invasion.
Nor I.
Now, after years of Ukraine asking for help, the tables have been turned and it seems clear Zelensky wants to use this moment as a diplomatic, military and financial opportunity.

Ukraine may hope for US gratitude if it can help American allies in the Gulf, especially Saudi Arabia.

It may also hope to win favour among Arab nations, some of which have traditionally had close links with Russia and have tried to avoid taking sides in the Ukraine conflict.
More Russian isolation? I'll take it!

The only nazis are in Kiev and NATO. but not for long.

Hey, did you ever answer my question whether you feel Russia or the Soviet Union ever did anything wrong? Perhaps you have, but I missed it because I generally skip over your nauseating posts. If you have, please link me to the post. If not, please answer the question.

You see here we in the U.S. and the West very aggressively criticize the U.S. for the unconstitutional Iran war and many other things besides, showing we are not mindless toadies for authority like you are. We especially disdain Nazis like the one in the Kremlin.

Not for long? Jeez dude, you’ve been saying that for four years. And your army is still hundreds of miles from Kiev.

I can't get over the similarities with Iraq right now. We have an administration that is dead certain they have this thing pegged and everyone else is wrong. Neither side really had a plan in mind for post regime overthrow, but wanted a big say in who would takeover.

The Universe is 13.7 billion years old.

Wrong in what sense?
Like unprovoked invasion you just did?
Probably not. All out invasions were either provoked or justified (Finish war for example).
On average Russia has been less agressive than the usual suspects like GB/Germany/France/US
