I have said many times that I am strongly opposed to internet blocking in Russia, especially YouTube.
People who gave that idea to Putin (who is utterly illiterate as far as internet goes) are either all illiterate themselves or work for the western intelligence. I suspect it's really a combination of these two.
Plus there is big money involved in all of this where companies try to expel western competition and get government grants for local replacement of all these "evil" western companies.

Russia is of course is not a democracy. It's really more less Tsarism where Ttsar is subject to public opinion through elections. But you are not democracies either. You are a capitalist hell hole where big money rule.

The businessman was operating (among other things) large network of scam call centers in Ukraine in Europe. Apparently he had some disputes with Elensky Regime about these call centers.
