His campaign slogan is "God, Family, Freedom."An Arizona congressional primary in the heart of MAGA country will gauge the strength of President Donald Trump's endorsement, as former Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb faces allegations that undercut his image as a family-values candidate.
Lamb did little to push back as a monthslong investigation by The Arizona Republic surfaced claims of sexting, threats, intimidation, nude photo-sharing, racist messages, and his recent purchase of a multimillion-dollar ranch property in Tennessee.
Not everyone is as old as we are.Does he dress in women’s clothing and hang around in bars?

Republicans see ‘scary’ lack of enthusiasm among core voters ahead of midterms
Pollsters and GOP groups are raising the alarm about an unmotivated base in an election year that would be tough no matter what, given the president’s low approval.
Republican pollsters and political groups are raising the alarm that their party faces a listless and demotivated base ahead of November’s midterm elections.
A raft of discouraging data from polling, door knocking and focus groups is unsettling Republicans as their party heads into a midterm election season that would be challenging no matter what, given President Donald Trump’s low standing in polls and the fact that the party in control in Washington almost always loses seats.
The lack of enthusiasm is reaching deep into Republicans’ loyal base, spreading to the party’s most consistent voters — who have shown up to vote in all of the past four primaries and general elections, according to an analysis done by Americans for Prosperity Action, a conservative super PAC that was founded by billionaire Charles Koch. This new issue with the base adds to the party’s more enduring problem of turning out less-frequent voters who support Trump but often skip midterm elections.
About 1 in 5 reliable Republican base voters are at risk this November, according to Nathan Nascimento, executive director at AFP Action. Those voters in Iowa, Ohio, North Carolina, Montana, New Hampshire and Michigan are either saying they may stay home or are weighing voting for Democrats, according to their data, which is based on polling and extensive efforts to engage targeted Republican voters by knocking on their doors. The voters are primarily worried about inflation and the economy.
“This is a big chunk,” Nascimento said. “This is a scary number.”
The group has found that reaching these voters at the door usually moves them toward Republican candidates — or at least away from Democratic ones and toward undecided, he said.
The state department just came out with a report on Cuban communism and how it is effecting the US left. Basically McCarthyism all over again.Republicans see ‘scary’ lack of enthusiasm among core voters ahead of midterms
… but never fear; bloated Dear Leader has already come up with the Great motivator that is going to terrify the Faithful into voting: the dreaded COMMUNISM!!!
Communism has vaulted over the other fourteen “greatest threat”s Trump has previously identified, to become THE existential threat to liberty, apple pie, health and happiness.
I'm not so sure, as some of the people in the article I linked said they either weren't going to vote or they would vote for Democrats for the first time ever. I think the more intelligent Republicans will see through Trump's lies. They know by now that he lies every time his lips are moving, so I doubt his new lies will fool enough people. Still, voting is large cities will likely be mayhem. I hope people have the courage to vote. I sure will, but I always vote early. I won't vote by mail because I don't trust the mail these days. Anyway, that's just how I currently see it.Republicans see ‘scary’ lack of enthusiasm among core voters ahead of midterms

How do they access machines that aren't connected to any network?Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin recently said, in unequivocal terms, that foreign adversaries can access voting machines and flip votes, echoing President Donald Trump's narrative about interference in the 2020 election.
"We know for sure that our foreign adversaries, not our allies, foreign adversaries have parts that are vital pieces in our voting machines," Mullin said July 17, adding that they can access "what they consider the key to the back" of the voting machines. "We know that they can change voter registration and your vote. We know it's possible. There's not a question. It's not even for debate."
We asked the Department of Homeland Security for more details but it did not give any; it reiterated its call for states to help guard against noncitizen voters. The White House referred us to that department. (Noncitizen voting in federal elections is rare.)

Fact-checking Mullin’s claim that foreign adversaries can access voting machines in U.S. elections
Mullin’s comments about foreign adversaries accessing voting machines reflect concerns that security and election technology experts have long had. But so far, there’s no proof of such attempts.www.pbs.org

They don't mean literal communism as an economist would define it, they mean race, gender, and religious equality. They know perfectly well that no Democrat is pushing to abolish money or dismantle corporate personhood, even if they say otherwise to confuse fools. The real fear, for them, is a populist movement to secure European-style vigorous human rights protections. There's something odd about Republicans trying to start another Red Scare. To see why that is, let us look at the previous two Red Scares.
All they care about is their power and they will use any scare tactic to try and maintain, although imo, it doesn't seem to be working out this time. They don't mean literal communism as an economist would define it, they mean race, gender, and religious equality. The Trump administration asked the Supreme Court on Monday to clear the way for a sweeping executive order that would place major new restrictions on mail-in voting for November’s midterm elections.
A divided panel of a Massachusetts-based appeals court last week upheld a federal judge’s block on the order, finding that it would “sow confusion” and “threaten disenfranchisement of many eligible voters.” Judges appointed by Joe Biden and George W. Bush voted for the block, while a Trump appointee voted against it.
The appeal to the high court is part of a high-stakes push by President Donald Trump and his allies to put fresh limits on voting ahead of the pivotal elections where control of both the House and the Senate is at stake. Trump claims that voting irregularities are widespread, despite a lack of evidence.
