My wife found one of those the other day in her cucumber vine. She said it was as big as her hand. Surprised she didn't run screaming from the garden. She said she was more fascinated than scared.

We had a visit last evening ... A herd of about 50 Elk came and hung out for an hour or so. I got some decent video, and this is a frame capture - much less informative but it’s a hint. Shot from our deck with Mrs E’s crappy cellphone.

The herd came back yesterday. I’m not sure they’re okay… that’s very unusual. The drought is putting a hurt on them.
But here’s a moth. Shot on 35mm film … can you tell?
