A day without stupid?

You know Trump will say, "I know nothing about it...it was an aide...that's a very nasty question".

That's because Trump is a person with absolutely no redeeming qualities.

I was reading a story a day or two ago talking about how Harry Truman had a sign on his desk saying "The buck stops here". If Trump had a sign it would say "The buck stops anywhere but here". He NEVER accepts responsibility. NEVER.

Wrong. Trump would think "the buck stops here" means "make sure I get my cut" and keep the sign.

Here's a good one

Trump is angry that South Korea won't support his dumb war with Iran, that nobody wants.

A situation that couldn't be less of South Koreas problem. Why would they ever get involved?

Then Trump cosies up with Kim Jong Un and now want to be bff's forever.

Trump's school yard bully tactics just keep going

It is difficult to tell what this is. Trump in Term One went from hellfire to North Korea to signing a cocktail napkin agreement with North Korea that wasn't in line with US foreign policy (ie Trump didn't understand what denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula actually meant). So reestablishing his nonsensical bromance with Kim could just be a checklist thing along with Trump making the rounds with Greenland.

This could be because South Korea doesn't support the Iran nonsense (eastern Asia was among the regions that felt the oil supply issues first) or if Trump is continuing with the leadership via chaos crap. At this point, we are really unaware of what in the heck is driving this Administration. Is this Iselin in charge, an idiot in charge, or people creating enough distractions to grift the heck out of America, looking to seize permanent control of the US, or some combination of those?

Why hasn't apologists like Swiz, Rvonse, Derec, thebeave or bomb not say this emperor has no clothes? The fucker is worse than Biden.

I'm not ready to admit he is worse than Biden but yes, the emperor has no clothes.

He did fix our borders while Biden fumbled around. And that was huge.

I think Sarah Paine's analysis is pretty good I think. He's wrecking all the old aliances and goodwill USA built up and he's just cashing in everything he can for some short term gain, that won't pay off. I think it's Trump's idea of how to run a country. Basically, if you are powerful then use that power to get stuff, otherwise you're a loooooooooser.

Paine's strongest critique is that alliances are built slowly over time and are easy to wreck. Ooops

Ill make it easy for you to understand. Israel is in charge and US voters are not.

It would seem highly doubtful that Israel is in charge of Korean Peninsula foreign policy for the US as an Iranian nuke would likely have some or many links to North Korea.

Also, Israel is in charge of cuts to Medicaid, Billionaire tax cuts, US moves on Greenland, US vaccine policy changes, the illegal ballroom, shutting down the Kennedy Center, weaponizing the Justice Department, and seizing Maduro?

Do you look for Israel under your bed before going to sleep?

Oh, no, not those dastardly scheeming Jews again.

I'm sorry, but that's a preposterous idea. Israel is a tiny country (without oil) surrounded by enemies (with oil) and USA is, pretty much, their only friend.

USA is just friends with Israel because it allows them to have western friendly bases in the Middle-East. This is good for USA. Israel is the only democracy. So they're ideologically alligned. USA's alliances with the rest of the Middle-East are weak as fuck.

Your stupid conspiracy theory is stupid.

You are aware that the Jews don't really control the banking systems?

The really ridiculous thing is the only reason the Iran "War" is happening at all is because the guy RVonse supports was President. No other US Leader would have been dumb enough to buy Netanyahu's BS. Even most of Trump's cabinet and advisors thought it was a dumb idea.

Hmm. I think you underestimate how much tools like ChatGPT and modern surveilance aid dictators today.

I think its unlikely any revolution can succeed today without outside help.

But it was always a long shot.

And ultimately it might actually work. Everyone in Iran hates the regime

The big question is if it was worth it?

It reminds me of the American revolution causing France to go bankrupt. It succeeded. But gave zero benefit to France. That's a likely scenario... if it succeeds

The US and Israel "helped". It didn't achieve anything positive. It made things worse. You appear to be grasping at straws to find a positive in Trump and Netanyahu's failure at regime change.
But it was always a long shot.
It wasn't sold to Trump as a "long shot". It was sold as an easy win.
And ultimately it might actually work. Everyone in Iran hates the regime
Any day now, Bay of Pigs will succeed!

Really! Talk about Stoopid …
It was Stoopid from day one, but not as FUCKING STOOPID as thinking it’s going to work out any day now. And assuming drastic regime change, there is ZERO reason to think the New Guys are going to be any less avaricious or more friendly to the West and their own neighbors than the Old Guys.

Then you are utterly divorced from reality. He is FAR worse than ANY previous US President.

No, it wasn't.

The border is just as broken as it always was, but now with added needless cruelty.

And that doesn't much matter in the big scheme of things, because the continued ability for migrant workers to unlawfully enter and work in the USA is essential to your nation's economy.

If someone ever did "fix your borders" such that nobody was able to work unlawfully in the US, it would be a massive disaster.

If someone ever did "fix your borders" such that nobody was able to work unlawfully in the US, it would be a massive disaster.
Which is why I believe that the obvious solution is rarely even discussed. Prosecute illegal employers, the ones who are stealing jobs from legimate workers and giving them to undocumented folks.
The problem is that would hugely inconvenience the elite. Cut the undocumented work force and the rest will have much more bargaining power. It will also cut consumption because the undocumented will not be buying gas or food or anything else, causing a drop in prices.

That's why nobody seriously proposes the obvious solution. Because it will benefit society as a whole at the expense of the donor class.

Or be honest with ourselves that we've been using migrant labor in this country FOR OVER A CENTURY AND A HALF!

No one has really established migrant labor is actually a problem in the US that requires solving.

Where are the bases? In Israel? Does Israel control the bases in Saudi Arabia and Iraq? I thought the whole reason for the petro dollar was an agreement with Saudi Arabia to provide our protection in exchange for their pricing oil in dollars? Was this arrangement something that only Israel could make happen?

I could care less about Jewish bankers. What I care about is foreign capture of my government. I don't want Russia, China or Israel to have their hands with the purchase of my leaders. Hell, I don't even want US corporations to buy my leaders.

Right now our government is captured by Israel. The congress and the POTUS can not do anything otherwise than what Israel wants. The war with Iran is overwhelmingly not supported by the American people and was purchased by AIPAC.

We can be friends with Israel, no problem. But them telling our government how my tax money get spent to kill people goes too far. And make no mistake that this war with Iran did not benefit the US in any way whatsoever. And everyone including stupid Trump and our worthless media knows it and knew it.

What does migrant low skilled labor provide that AI and technology can not? And on the side of consumption. What kind of buying power, and demand can they possible provide which will help to drive more sales?

The US already has 300+ million people and 50% of them together are already poorer than Elon Musk. How is importing more poor people who can not buy anything and uneducated going to improve the situation in the US? Is it going to reduce wealth inequality somehow???

The "labor" part.

You didn't actually show how migrant labor is a problem. Can you demonstrate that without resorting to an ad hominem against migrants?

That was so clever on your part! If your migrant labor is not a problem than neither was the slave labor during the 1850's. Because labor by itself is not really a problem is it? Other than increasing the overall supply of it which is generally favorable for management and unfavorable for workers.

But you just can not separate the actual labor with the people or the situation of the people who are doing that labor. Doing so is completely disingenuous to the discussion.
