‘Nazi heaven’: Inside Miami campus Republicans’ racist group chat

The secretary of Miami-Dade County’s Republican Party started a group chat primarily for conservative students last fall — and within three weeks it was filled with racist slurs, someone wrote dozens of ways of violently killing Black people and the chat was renamed after what one member described as “Nazi heaven.” In WhatsApp conversations leaked to the Miami Herald, participants used variations of the n-word more than 400 times, regularly described women as “whores,” used slurs to talk about Jewish and gay people and mused about Hitler’s politics.

Much like the Young Republican scandal...

I was going to say, I thought I read about this months ago.

How dare you! These are completely different "young" Republican Nazis.

So not only do Republicans have a pedophile problem they also have a nazi problem.

Is there any redeeming quality they actually have?

Some people should not be allowed to use social media ever and some should not have access to guns ever.

Many times those sets overlap.

It does sound very similar.

I reiterate that if you support the Republican party still at this point, you're probably one of them.

Not to mention that the clear compromise of values going on there isn't expected to end well or get you what you want, either.

It will be a bait and switch every time that never materializes the sworn goal, and instead just functions to keep the poors from troubling the wealthy.

Every. Goddamn. Time.

Ohio Senate campaign staffer used Nazi soldiers as profile photo. Jon Husted’s campaign, after being contacted by The Post, said it would part ways with the political director.

A top campaign staffer for Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio) once used a photo of SS soldiers as his Facebook profile photo and recently added to a public playlist of songs celebrating Rhodesia, a defunct White-minority-ruled nation often venerated by white supremacists, according to publicly available social media activity.

The staffer, 25-year-old Stephen Woytek, was tapped in August to serve as Husted’s political director in the closely contested Senate race between Husted and former senator Sherrod Brown (D).

In a statement on Friday, after being contacted by The Washington Post, a spokeswoman for Husted said the campaign had decided to “part ways” with Woytek.

“Steve serves our country honorably as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army and is a proud graduate of The Citadel. He studies military history and routinely reenacts historical battles. While he denies negative intent, his social media activity displays a complete lack of judgement and disregard for its impact on others. Sen. Husted demands better of those who represent him. Upon learning about the social media posts today, Sen. Husted made the immediate decision to part ways,” the spokeswoman said.

My wife likes Broadway musicals and likes to listen to playlists of those in the car. This guy hada Rhodesian white supremacist playlist. I can just imagine him now listening in his car to the tunes in a SS uniform because he likes history.

So does this guy, but it's just "Springtime for Hitler" on repeat.
