Terrorists take over federal Building, threaten violence

Armed protesters who ended their 41-day standoff on Thursday at a wildlife refuge in Oregon told federal authorities they left behind booby traps but did not say whether the trip wires and other devices would trigger explosions, a law enforcement official told Reuters. “They spoke to us about booby traps. We don’t know how sophisticated or what kind,” said the official, speaking on the condition of anonymity.
Materials to create explosives could be found on the refuge, the official said, because workers there previously performed controlled burns of the land.

If the Feds do find booby traps, I hope these terrorists do heavy time. I certainly hope nobody gets hurt.
Bubba is waiting.

I called it in the other thread on this subject when I suspected the set booby traps which would significantly up the amount of crimes they can be charged with.

My son has been only peripherally following the story, but is of the opinion that if you're worried about getting raped in prison, maybe you should get out of a habit of saying 'fuck you' to people that stress you out.

Just a thought.

They can also just be talking as well. They may have been too busy designing letterhead to set up traps. Wonder if there is an endangered animal that could be killed and they get charged with violating that type of law.

Someone should tell him reading anarchist militant websites isn't "research".

Research for conspiracy theorists comprises smoking dope in mom's basement and watching youtube videos that promote said conspiracy theory.

Open minded in their belief system means believing everything they tell you and rejecting out of hand everything that they suspect of coming from The Powers That Be.

Hey, I'm sure that making false statements about booby traps could be charged as threatening violence and obstructing officers about the course of their duites, or such. I have a feeling a lotta books are going to be thrown.

The FBI is finding explosives, rotting food, a shitload of fecal matter and guns as they process what defense attorneys call 'the alleged crime scene.'
Shitload of fecal matter? Isn't that redundant?

Meanwhile, this shows why doomsday preppers are doomed... no appreciate for waste management. Armageddon comes, the most important thing? It isn't food, water, or shelter. It is a system to deal with human waste. They should have let them stay they for a year and succumb to disease, if the smell hadn't taken them out first.
Ammon Bundy's lawyers want access by an investigator and videographer to the refuge site immediately to observe the FBI's processing of the scene, according to court documents.
Co-defendant Jason Patrick's attorney, Andrew Kohlmetz, had filed a request for the government to preserve any evidence and allow the defense access to the crime scenes. He also urged the court to manage the discovery of evidence in the case because of the number of defendants and size of the alleged crime scene.
The FBI could have been the one who pooped in that trench!

If the lawyers want access before the booby traps are cleared, I say let them! Sounds like a good use for lawyers.

Shitload of fecal matter? Isn't that redundant?
Not at all. "Shitload" is describing that a large amount of something, in this case "shit" was discovered. :cheeky:

What if it was just "a few plops of fecal matter were found in shitty locations, like sinks, mailboxes, and bird's nests"...

The feces simply sounds like they didn't have working toilets for some reason.
On a refuge? Possibly only composting toilets. And for many fewer people.

However, we can't forget that these people were literally full of shit. So...

Which may explain why they were going our to these community areas... they had to take a crap. Also probably the reason why Bundy didn't resist arrest. He needed to poop bad!

Well, when WE went camping beyond the limits of the local plumbing system, we took shovels. You dug a hole, filled the hole, then covered the whole hole. They had the misappropriated equipment to build a road where they wanted one to be, why couldn't they have spent some effort making several smaller slit trenches for their purposes, rather than one big trench?

It just strikes me as not a whole lot of respect for the land. I know, big surprise, they're there for the purpose of getting permission to exploit it. But that makes me double glad there are laws to limit such people's chances to exploit lands my kids may want to camp on some day.

LOL

I misread your last sentence as "...glad there are laws to limit such people's chances to exploit lands my kids may want to crap on some day."

Shawna Cox, one of the last militants to be arrested for occupying an Oregon wildlife refuge last month, has filed a countersuit against the U.S. government and others in which she alleges "damages from the works of the devil in excess of $666,666,666,666.66."

http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-...ues-for-666-billion-citing-works-of-the-devil

Is 'works of the devil' an acknowledged legal term, like 'acts of God?'

And she also provides her defense for the charges against her:
In her complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Oregon, Cox also says the group seized control of Malheur at a time when the refuge was preparing to shut down for the winter. She denies interfering with government employees, saying, "If anything, it was their choice to not come to work, out of guilt."
Yeah.... Armed men are denying people's entry to the compound and threatening to shoot Feds and the workers are 'guilty' and staying home.
