I don't think I've heard of an incident about a transgendered person in a bathroom posing a threat to someone. Republican politicians and their cronies do seem to be making a lot of noise about it though. When I think about it, over the last decade or so, it's been Republican politicians that have been involved in restroom scandals.

We must be tolerant - it takes all sorts to make a world, especially a bad one!

God is pretty specific about how to use bathrooms, and Public restrooms aren't on the list.

Deuteronomy 23:12-14English Standard Version (ESV)

12 “You shall have a place outside the camp, and you shall go out to it. 13 And you shall have a trowel with your tools, and when you sit down outside, you shall dig a hole with it and turn back and cover up your excrement. 14 Because the Lord your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you and to give up your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy, so that he may not see anything indecent among you and turn away from you.

So God tells you how to shit in the woods? This might turn me back to religion. Anything on how to unclog a MSR WhisperLite in that book?

Democrat and Republican politicians should never be in the same restroom at the same time ever!

Sent from my fertile mind.

Okay, so say a Republican politician, a boy scout leader, and a priest walking into a bathroom. One of them has a poodle under his arm. Would you trust your child to go in there with them unsupervised by you?

You forgot the youth pastor.

There have been some transgendered arrested for crimes in the bathrooms. It's just they're big news.

But this actually is a reason they shouldn't. Hypocrites!

Your question comes across as biased. Why would you choose "restroom" over "bathroom?"

You're right. Would you mind starting another thread entitled, "Should Republican politicians be disallowed from using restrooms and public bathrooms?"

Let me preface this by saying that I don't agree with the law. I think you guys are straw-manning the argument. I think the main concern is that perverts are going to pretend to be transgender to sneak into women's bathrooms. Again, I think that is bullshit as well, but let's get their arguments right.

Keeping Republicans out of public restrooms would let people with naturally wide stances relax.

I actually haven't heard that argument until just now but I suppose I could counter that if we continue to allow them into public restrooms, nefarious people will enter the public restrooms while dragging recliners behind them, dressed up in business suits, cleanly shaven with 1950's haircuts and talking about corporate deregulation for cover?
