First Came Brexit, Now Comes Texit

That would be one way to be sure the wall would be built. Actually, two walls, and Mexico would gladly pay for theirs.

What? And deprive Perry and his ilk such a grand forum to pronounce upon their superiority?

And what will they do with all the liberal Texans?

This is a case of history impairment. This question was brought up once before and definitively settled. It Texas wants to try again, they'll find out just how many black helicopters the government actually has.

All they really need to do is look around their own state. The Army, Navy, Air Force and National Guard have enough bases in Texas to clobber a small country.

Why should they not be allowed to go?

What great purpose is served by them staying?

Let's hasten their departure.

I'd gladly let them go. Imagine the upside:

1) They could publish their own school textbooks, eliminating their influence on the content of science books

2) It would give all of the Trump supporters, and Trump, a place to go. He could be king.

3) I could laugh every time someone from Oklahoma, Arkansas, etc. referred to them as "furriners".

Doesn't Texas regularly tease us with leaving us?

Yes, and I wish they would stop teasing us and just do it.

If Texas tries to secede and the result is a civil war, I will gladly join the side of Texas and fight against my own government. I'm willing to die to get them out of my country.

I wonder if they could get Ammon Bundy enough resources in prison to make them one of those 'please send us Dildos in the cause of freedom' videos?

Well, there is that old joke, "What do you call a Mexican on his way to Oklahoma?

In terms of secessionist fantasies, California, Oregon, and Washington is the most fun. Morph all three into one whole nation and suddenly there's a new economic and military powerhouse that could kick the fuck out of the rest of the now west coast-less 'Murica.

Texas bloviates about this every so often, and (having lived in Central Texas for about 8 years) I don't think the people of this state have really thought this through. Most of those large military bases are federal. Do they think the government will gift them to Texas as they leave the union?
