Irangate, or Trump's Giant Vagina

I commented on ISIS... My source was Rachel Maddow. Let's ignore ISIS for a second, because the name of the illegal organization matters not one little shit. ISIS is not the end-all in illegal activities. I apologize for the (not) distraction.

Please proceed with discussion about the illegality of US companies doing business with easily identifiable criminal entities (regardless of the name of the criminal entity or the name of the entities the organization illegally does business with).

With that kind of argument (though pretty much unrelated to your article about Don the Con), practically everyone involved are supporters of ISIS, from the US, SA, Turkey, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, UAE...

All I can tellya is that if you have a Company that sells overseas, it's on you to vet your customers. Right now I'm looking at a contract from Botswana. I don't know jack about Botswana or their government contractors, but if we get that contract I'll know a hell of a lot about them before I ship anything, because in the eyes of the law, ignorance is not an excuse. OTOH, being a corrupt president of a country striving to make it a banana republic, and protected by a republican congress - seems to be an excellent excuse.
Well....da
And yeah the US considers the IRGC a 'terrorist' supporter, so it would break the law to work with them...

Are you saying that Trump is a shady business man?

Are you saying that Trump is a shady business man?

Yes. and further, that he demonstrably broke the law.

So... Trump has received money from the billionaire (on a $12k/yr salary) transportation minister of Azerbajan "The Corleones of the Caspian", who in turn got that money by laundering funds from Iran's Revolutionary Guard. Trump should have known that, and if he didn't know, it means he and/or his Company were negligent and subject to nine-digit fines at the least, and probably jail time. If my Company had received one dime from such an entity, I would without doubt be rotting in a cell somewhere.

It's a long and complicated trail that took a while to uncover, but it makes clear the reason Trump is resistant to any real investigation into his "affairs".
YOUR POTUS IS SUPPORTING ISIS AND OTHER TERRORIST GROUPS

Please read. This might not make it "above the fold" for a while, but it should eventually become a YUUUUUGE scandal.

New Yorker

There are a lot of uncertainties in the New Yorker article (more like a book) and certainly no smoking gun.

Right. When they send him up the river, it won't because someone waved New Yorker Magazine in front of the Judge.
But even the article alone provides more support for the fact that Cheato is a sleaze who acted illegally than you EVER provide for your lofty pronouncements.

It doesn't supply much either way. You'll have to make do with the Orange Orangutan a bit longer. :)

That would be true even if he shot someone in the middle of 5th avenue in broad daylight. It's a congress full of Repug cowards. If either house turns in '18, he's jailbait.

I do not need the terms Trump and jailbait in close proximity. It is almost as bad as President and Trump.

For some reason you feel the need to always have the equivalent of a "smoking gun". The article is pretty damning of the Trump organization and how it does business.

It's called evidence-based. It wouldn't stand up in a court of law as legal test would be required in any situation. News media uses bottom feeding techniques on the premise that accusation is enough. Having worked in the construction industry for a number of years, no matter how clean the Client is, one is dealing with constant cheating at all levels with sub contractors and local companies. Fake workers, overtime, fake claims, claims for materials not used are part and parcel of these projects.

My difficult role as a Contract Administrator was effective at knocking down fake claims but I had to give up this job when I was expected to accept a fraudulent claim which my directors accepted.

Does Trump know this happens?? I'm sure he does but that doesn't mean he does know any particular details or would be involved. I would think that like many in his position he relies on the end product of the company providing goods and services. If someone hires a builder to renovate his house, he's not interested if one of the the electrical contractor faked the hours he did.

The most likely explanation for the available evidence is that the Trump's business dealings are shady and probably very illegal. Your insipid demand for a smoking gun is a transparent attempt to deny the obvious.

Oh?

How about "Chris Hansen catches Trump trying to bag some jailbait"?

Probably also means probably not. The obvious would mean open and shut case in court. For the record Azerbaijan is a pretty corrupt society starting from government through every aspect of business and industry. Likewise we can say this about most of Asia.

Can I quote you?
That might be the single stupidest assertion per character that I have ever seen in writing.
Coming soon from your local alt-realist: "Certainly also means certainly not".

Maybe; maybe not.

Would this be a Monty Python sketch?

Can you quote me?

Rest assured, I will quote you. And I'll liberally apply the principle you evince: "probably also means probably not" to illustrate the idiocy of your assertions.
I only wish I could get into an extended game of dice. I'd let you bet all you want that the die will "probably not" show any numbers from two to six. Snake eyes are all yours though!

Probably and probably not are not statements of fact.

P (X) > 50% is probably
P (X) < 50% is probably not

50% < P (X) < 50%

50% < 50%

Reductio ad absurdum.
