Human Rights Day is held on December 10 to honor the UN General Assembly's adoption of the Universal Declaration on this day in 1948. The declaration stands today as one of Eleanor Roosevelt's most important legacies and the UN posthumously awarded her one of its first Human Rights Prizes in 1968 in recognition of her work.

In honor of Human Rights Day, we're celebrating Eleanor Roosevelt, the prominent diplomat and human rights advocate who led the effort to draft the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The declaration, which arose from the global devastation of WWII, represented the first worldwide expression of the rights to which all humans are inherently entitled. Roosevelt served at the U.S. Delegate to the UN from 1945 to 1952, during which time she was the chair of the UN Commission on Human Rights.

Sharon45, please imagine the above green and black text is undulating from left to right. Like a heart beat, or breathing, or sexytime motions.
