Mueller investigation

So, any bets on how long it takes Cohen to flip? How many years in the slammer?

Trump was the one who wanted to run the country like a reality show.
Flip? About what? I think he's mostly out there on his own. Daniels happened, the entire world knows that, and Cohen was a fool trying to play tag-team wrestling. Don't forget Trump hasn't been interviewed yet, so he's still holding cards. However, I doubt he can now deny the affairs to the FBI, or they'll get him for lying. Now that would be ironic to this thread..

The agents apparently took records going back to 2013. Cohen was not a trial lawyer, but a legal representative who swung financial deals for Trump and worked to suppress embarrassing news like the Stormy Daniels tempest. As Trump's main "fixer", he could have very pertinent financial records that would be prosecutable under NY state law, if Trump were to pardon Cohen. So I can see why Mueller and Rosenstein did it this way--to make sure that Trump would continue to face investigation of his crooked past dealings even if he did manage to derail the federal investigation into his dealings with Russia.

Right now, Trump is bouncing off the walls, looking for any way to strike back. It is a particularly dangerous time, because he is going to launch some action in Syria that will likely attract a lot of eyeballs away from the Mueller and Cohen dramas. Russia, which is now the major foreign stakeholder in Syria, has been making threats of "dire consequences", if the US attacks Assad. Trump also has options for making mischief against Iran, North Korea, and China. Any distraction will help. Unfortunately, he is prone to taking actions without considering the consequences, so he could involve us in some serious military actions.

I couldn't agree more, however, it's going to take a much better candidate than the democratic party put up last time. I voted Stein last election and I'll do so again unless....And I'm not alone.
Yeah, I'm not buying it.

"Derail his dealinga with Russia"? There were none, Mueller knows that and is attacking an area that is in fact vulnerable. This is how to get Trump, through his lawyers and other legal and financial advisers.

Yeah, I'm not buying it.

What exactly is it you're not buying, JH?

Yeah, I mean, Trumps never even been to Russia! He certainly didn't do any business there, and nobody in his family, campaign, or team has ever met with Russian officials. Ever.

Do you at least have fun doing that, Ford, because it is comedic on a certain (low) level. Of course everything you say is accurate, but that's not what he's being investigated for. Might you wrap your head around that at some point? No pun intended.

Almost as much fun as watching you claim you know what's going on. You also need to learn what puns are.

I think at this point it’s fairly safe to say that any such orders would simply not be followed. We’ve already seen from Hyten that he wouldn’t follow any orders to launch nukes that he found to be illegal and Hayden’s comments on torture and targeting civilians, plus Mattis has allegedly told aids he would resign before carrying out a capricious wag-the-dog attack.

But as that piece also notes, all of this is uncharted territory.

Actually, those meetings with Russians are very much under investigation by Mueller. So are the allegations of money laundering through real estate deals with Russian oligarchs. That's why FBI agents interrogated some Russian oligarchs, as reported last week: Mueller asking Russian oligarchs about any donations to Trump campaign: report

Of course those meeting are, but the fact that Trump (or you) have been to Russia should not be in itself an excuse to investigate a person for collusion. Right?

If you are being vetted for a position in the US government, and you (and your associates) all lie about your contacts with Russia, then it isn't just an "excuse." Your willful ignorance here is laughable. Sessions, Kushner, Trump Jr., Manafort, Flynn and other high level Trump officials met with Russians and then lied about it. That means they were attempting to cover up their activities, which (among other things) led to the investigation. Pro tip: If you lie to the cops about something they're investigating, they'll think you're hiding something. Don't lie to the cops.

What is your profession? Since you brought it up

Good, because I'm not for sale, or rent for that matter. But my routine is if you own a comedy club.
You do realize you have tells, right?

What are they?

What is your profession? Since you brought it up

I didn't bring up my profession. I have done stand up at a comedy club, since you brought it up. You're being unintentionally funny.

That’s some odd straw you’re stuffing.

You know, you need some new material. This shitz old!

So your "pro tip" about cops is that you're a comedian? Now that is funny. Was it intentional?
