I wonder what the conversation would have looked like if she were a blonde white girl?
Not having heard of or seen her before, I thought she was a white woman, in the photos. I looked again just now, and she still does.

But yes, I think it's generally accepted (so I have read many times) that black people, young and old, male and female, are often presumed to be less innocent (more guilty, get longer sentences etc) in mainly white societies, and that studies bear this out.
