He's the one that visits prostitutes, not me.
Your answer is very superficial, not addressing the technical issue of recklessness and probabilities. Let's recap. Derec said the man shot and killed had no idea she was a minor. Now, looking at her in pictures, we can see she looks young and she was a minor at the time besides this. So, clearly, any regular person observing her at the time would have noticed her young look and thought she might be underage. My challenge to Derec is that upon seeing that, the guy realizes there is a significant probability she is underage, regardless if it is 30% chance she is underage or 80% chance she is underage. Now, his next move shows how reckless he is going to be: is he going to proceed and not care about such significant probability of using money to get sex from a minor or is he going to try to reduce the probability of that event such as by asking for an identification or finding sex elsewhere. If his gun was for his protection, then surely he knows that he is dealing with nefarious characters in the criminal world who do such illegal things as sell minors for sex who are forced into prostitution and he certainly understands that there are probabilities out there, not certainties. If he didn't understand there were probabilities about such things, then he'd simply shoot everyone involved or not bring the gun to begin with. So he gets probabilities and understands how to reduce risk. Of course, if we look from a bit outside the box, what is this man doing trying to get sex from a minor, especially if he knows she might be a minor, and if he knows she might be forced into sex with strangers, also a probability, especially for someone so young. Then, why does he have a gun that he is bringing to have sex with someone who may be a minor forced into sex.
