Another Day In The USA

Do you mean the speech where he said the wrong city name? Yeah, he was really invested in that speech.

Trump can't win with you guys. If he praised the shooter you would say, "Of course he is!" If he condemns the guy, you say, "He's lying! He loves the shooter!"

How can you live in such a world?

Better than living in the rosey world you occupy where you believe his bullshit.

Here's Bonespur's speech on the shootings. Doing the major sniffing thing again. He ain't right.

Yes, he condemned it.

The sad thing is we had a right-wing shooter and a left-wing shooter on the same day.

Yes, he condemned it.

His sincerity and heartfelt sadness was... lacking. He was mouthing the words and he couldn't even get that part right.

The sad thing is we had a right-wing shooter and a left-wing shooter on the same day.

A right-wing shooter inspired by Trump's own words. A left-wing shooter inspired by... what?

...
The man who killed nine and injured 27 in a mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio, was the lead singer of a "pornogrind" metal band, a genre defined by its explicit subject matter and themes of gore and violence, specifically sexual violence and necrophilia, BuzzFeed News has learned.

The gunman, identified as 24-year-old Connor Betts, was a member of Menstrual Munchies, a three-person band that performed regularly in the Midwest death metal scene, recently appearing as one of the bands at the Summer Massacre 2 concert in Chicago on June 29.
Pornogrind is a subgenre of a fast and extreme kind of heavy metal called grindcore, which is known for its mostly dark, satirical themes of sexual violence and gore delivered for shock value.
...
On Monday afternoon, the Twitter account for Neckbeard Deathcamp "broke character" in a thread about the now-deleted tweets it had made about the shooter.

"I did not know Conner Betts personally, but the midwest grind scene isn't large and we spend a lot of time pushing pornogrind out of Chicago DIY," a band member running the account said. "For what it's worth men who cape hard line '''''left''''' politics who still treat women like shit are not exactly a new invention.

"I'm quite curious I guess as to what it was exactly that he saw in us that resonated with him as I feel like we spend a lot of time expressing values highly incongruent with the way he treated women and the act of absolute cowardice that occured sunday night," the account said.
....

Weirder and weirder.

He said he vote for Elizabeth Warren, so maybe he was inspired by her?

Regardless, is the left-wing shooting somehow OK to you if you can't find who he was inspired by?

He had an infatuation with killing people since his high school days. Do you think he knew anything about Elizabeth Warren back then?

I didn't know a shooting became meaningless if you can't pinpoint exactly why he did it.

No one said that. By the way, most people agree that finding the cause of a mass shooting is a good way of preventing further shootings. It's called common sense - give it go, you might like it

But surely all of these shooters have some serious mental illness. That doesn’t excuse what they do or even explain why they do what they do. But I think it is wrong and foolish not to look at how their mental illness factors into their despicable and detestable acts of murder.

Specifically, the evidence says most are on antidepressants. Big Pharma certainly wouldn't want that to be noticed, though--think of the lawsuits!

Do you have a citation for this, or is it yet another ex ano claim?

If you do have a citation for this, doesn't that imply that the research you are calling for has already been done?

Here is some light reading

It's about 30 pages long, 25 if you cut the background stuff. Surprise surprise firearm prevalence, unsafe storing methods and no regulation on the secondary market are concerning factors. And it points out how the CDC is forbidden to do any research on firearm related deaths.

Wherever do people get these ideas?

You must have missed Trump's conference today where he condemned white supremacy and these shootings and said "white supremacy and other dangerous ideologies must be stopped. The shootings must stop. The hatred and racism must stop."

Yeah, that sure sounds like a guy who is applauding the shooter.

All these questions of, "Why won't Trump condemn it?" He does. Multiple times. But leftists ignore it and keep asking why doesn't he condemn it.

No one is saying that Trump is applauding the shooter. It is hard to take anything that Trump says seriously. He frequently lies, so much so that it is hard to trust anything that he says.

It is especially hard to believe him when he condemns racism, as he did today, reading off of the teleprompter. Racism is his go-to default mode, especially when he is talking extemporaneously. Which I have to believe is more indicative of his true self.

The party that he leads has provided a political home for the racists in the US for more than forty years since they were dumped out of the Democratic party.

The chart included in the post points out the similarities between Trump's pronouncements and the shooter's rant. More than that it points out the same between the rant and samples from Fox News. There is nothing in the rant of a raging mad mass killer that wouldn't be surprising coming out of the mouths of your garden variety Republican or movement conservative.

This is the difference between the right and the left. The country has in the last forty years or so become increasingly conservative and both political parties have moved to the right. This means that the Republican party has become more extreme and the Democratic party has become more moderate. Anyone supporting the Republicans or calling themselves conservatives today can't escape the simple truth that they are aligning themselves with extremists.

Not all Republicans are far-right extremists. You should know this based on how many times you guys always say, "Not all Muslims are terrorists!"

There's a lot of things you don't know. You keep demonstrating that here.

The Republicans who aren't far right extremists are pushed to the fringes of irrelevancy. You should know this based on the amount of times you quote Shapiro and Knowles.

And they never speak up to condemn the insanity.

They are in favor of deportations, not mass murder. It's perfectly fine for other countries to want to keep out immigrants, but for some reason, the leftists say it's racist when the U.S. just tries to do what every other country does.

Actually, they do. But, they are also consistent and condemn the terrorist actions of antifa, which the left is stone cold silent about. No doubt antifa are cowards. They have to wear masks for some reason.

The Cherokee princess has been around national politics for a while. So why not?
And if the Left can blame Trump for El Paso (like she personally did!), why not blame Warren for Dayton? Sauce for the goose and all that.

Keeping it classy as usual.

Are you
1)arguing two wrongs make a right, or
2) that you have evidence that Warren has said anything that would incite such a shooter, or
3) just making silly statements?
