Who Agrees Fourth Wave Feminism is Toxic Femininity And Should Be Abolished?

Misogynists search out what they hold to be "toxic feminists" and hold this up to be what feminism is all about? And all those misogynists out there and many confused females (often evangelical right wingers) adopt the same attitude? And many people cannot see through this crap for what it is? This makes me so sad to see how little common sense there is in this world.

"Feminism" is a word, and like any word it can be defined and redefined by anyone, and take on a variety of meanings attached to a variety of agendas. Is Feminism the mere demand that women be treated with respect and equal rights as men, or is it the toxic buzzfeed type bullshit? Is it Christina Hoff Sommers or Chanty Binx? Is it Feminism to demand "safe" railway cars exclusively for women and children, leaving men to fend off attackers themselves? Is it the right to vote, the right to work in any job, and the right not to be sexually abused, or is it whining about "mansplaining" and presuming men guilty of sexual impropriety by mere accusation? Are the smears against the Joker movie Feminism? Is Ayan Hirsi Ali a feminist for standing up against a repressive culture and regime she fled as a child that mutilated her genitals and wanted to force her to marry some guy, or is Linda Sarsour a feminist when she mocked Ali for this and then was made a founder and celebrated leader of the women's march? Is "Why can't we hate men" a feminist sentiment? Is the gender sentencing gap Feminism itself or something Feminists oppose?

It gets rather complicated.

It is rather sick, isn't it? The feminists don't care one bit about female on female violence. They only throw a fit when it's male on female violence. Sort of like how blacks don't care about blacks killing blacks but will go apeshit if a white man kills a black man. I suppose if a black man killed that same black man, then nobody would care.

278 people murdered in Baltimore this year. But, that's OK. It wasn't whites killing blacks. Imagine 278 of your own people dying and you don't care unless it's a white on black murder. Pretty sick stuff the media feeds us.

Sure. Anybody can assign different definitions to whatever words they want if they don’t care about whether they are understood or if they create confusion.

Or if they want to create confusion and distrust.

To me, attempts to redefine words to suit the user is a total asshole attempt at a power move, best case scenaro. I think we’ve all read 1984. War is peace, freedom is slavery and then, of course, the Republican favorite: Ignorance is strength.

Words have meaning, Jolly. It ain’t that complicated.

You do realize Orwell was criticizing the far left, right? Orwell was on the left, but he wasn't far left. He was criticizing the far left, not the right.

Is it possible that you remove the prism that sorts everything into left vs right or white vs black or men vs women from your eyes and just try for once to focus on the actual content of a post? The point of the post is that it is propaganda to pervert the meaning of words regardless of one's ideological position. Or are you making the ludicrous claim that Orwell's point about propaganda is only valid against the left?

Leftists believe that war with the Kurds against Turkey will bring peace. They believe people are free today, but also enslaved by white privilege. And they believe ignorance about things (there's more than 2 genders) is strength.

So yes, it is absolutely on the far left.

He was criticising authoritarianism and totalitarianism . What difference does it make whether it is supposedly ‘right’ or ‘ left?’

Prove it.
They believe people are free today, but also enslaved by white privilege.
That is pure babble.
And they believe ignorance about things (there's more than 2 genders) is strength.
More babble.

Your entire response had absolutely no relevance to my post.

I am not talking about VAWA. I am talking about some feminists advocating for women's rights and women's rights alone.

So, you're talking about mythological feminists. Got it.

The feminists are real, though many of them believe myths.

Feminists are real, yes. Everybody believes in some myths, even if it’s only the myth of their rationality and impartiality.

Because those are leftist. Castro was on the left, very authoritarian. Pol Pot was a leftist, very authoritarian. USSR was communist, that is on the left, very authoritarian. Chairman Mao was a leftist, very authoritarian. Hitler was a leftist, very authoritarian.

Many leftists dont't speak out against Castro. I've heard some of them say, "Castro was a brilliant man! He cucked the USA for decades!" Keep in mind this "brilliant man" according to leftists, threw gays in camps.

There is little evidence of that. Otherwise you would not have responded to : It means show the same zeal and effort about the legal advantages men have as women in the world if you wish to be taken seriously instead of whining misogynist.” with some babbling about a pink tax in Australia.

I don't understand your statement. What does "legal advantages men have as women" mean? If there are countries where women don't have the same rights as men (there are), and someone is working to remedy that or raise awareness about it, why would I interfere or object to that?

Given your babbling about a pink tax, there is no rational basis to infer what you would or would not object to.

Yes. Words have the meaning the people understand them to mean, Toni. That's how language works. Often people understand different things or a variety of things from a single word with different meanings. You arent the language police. And if you want to get into literal meanings, "Feminism" would probably fit more with the toxic side than the egalitarian side. Feminism - pushing the feminine.

Agreed! And it is refreshing to see you acknowledge that authoritarianism can come from the left or the right. We should be on guard against both.

I realize that’s how you view feminism. I also know your long history of attempting to coopt the term and rename and redefine it to suit yourself.

It is perfectly normal and acceptable to agree with portions or even nearly all of an ideology while disagreeing with other portions. There is nothing wrong with discussion and disagreement about what is and us not included and how to define terms—by those who are part of a movement.

But for men to attempt to redefine and rename feminism to suit themselves? Nope. It’s an arrogant duck move and it’s not happening.

Don't men have the same rights as women to define feminism?

Do women have the right to define masculinity? To define what men’s rights and the men’s rights movement encompasses? Means? How it’s defined? Terms?,
