Biden administration excludes white farmers from loan foregiveness

Discriminating by race against white people is the new normal in America. State governments did it openly when doling out life-saving bennies like the COVID vaccine and received no legal threats, so this is hardly surprising any more.

Shocking, yes, but not surprising.

*sigh*

and the violent oppression of wealthy land owning white men continues, unabated as it has been for millennia.

the history of this country is truly written in the tears of socially and economically privileged white men being brutalized and who have suffered more than... well, more than anything in the history of the human race, if you stop and think about it.

FFS. You’re cool with discriminating based on skin color? There really is no difference between woke and racist.

That was a lot of sarcasm to say "I am okay with the State discriminating by race against white people".

what do you mean? i very clearly just expressed my hopeless despair at the plight of the monied white upper class, who has been systemically oppressed throughout the course of human history more than anyone or anything.

especially by the US government, which if you know your history is clearly one of the most callous and uncaring organizations when it comes to midwest white people with money and land... the US was founded on pouring money and resources into ethnic minorities and excluding white people from even being able to access programs that were set up to create generations of wealth of privilege, this is just another tragic example of the systemic persecution against white people of means that has been going on since this country began.

or are you trying to dispute that for literally centuries this country has been perversely funneling all of its available economic might into propping up blacks and mexicans, notably barring whites from even being able to participate in everyday commerce?

I don't know the particulars of the loan forgiveness program, but the OP title is untrue. White farmers are eligible for loan forgiveness but not through a special set aside. I am not arguing that the set aside is good or bad or unconstitutional.

Oh, wow. You’re all in for collective guilt/punishment based on perceived historical grievances. I did nazi that coming.

i really don't get what you're talking about here, since all i'm doing is sharing in the aggravation over the intolerable woes of the world's most put-upon group of people.

is english not your first language? you don't seem to actually be reading what i'm typing here, since you are drawing conclusions totally unrelated.

or are you saying that you disagree that white people are historically the most oppressed ethnic group in the US? because they clearly are, and if you try to deny it you're delusional.

English is not my first language, but I am fluent in both it and sarcasm, so ...

I'm sure you are. This is the second page of your own thread and you already are derailing it.

At any rate, what does bickering have to do with loan forgiveness? I wouldn't be opposed to diverting the standing wave of behavior and access that is racism.

That means giving people the opportunity to own shit, and build wealth for the first time perhaps as a family. Maybe more white farmers are being excluded because more white farmers have failed a legacy where many black farmers are merely having a hard time starting one?

Is it all white farmers excluded? Or is there something else at play here? Or are you going to just not talk about that and hope people buy the con job it is apparent you are offering?

That first link is excellent. It clearly shows how we got to the point that Congress and the current Administration are openly providing long delayed assistance to black and minority farmers. The easily foreseen pushback is following the usual playbook: cry about reverse discrimination and deny that decades of favorable terms and treatment of white farmers needs to be addressed in any way, much less by ensuring through set-asides that blacks and minorities get the same support and assistance white farmers receive.

It isn't 'reverse' discrimination. It's discrimination.

Oh, did they stop saying that, now?
It’s hard to understand them sometimes, through the tears.

Who is 'they'?

The only people I have ever heard use the term 'reverse discrimination' are people who think discriminating against white people either cannot exist, or it can exist and they don't give a fuck.*

*EDIT: It is also used by people who think discrimination against men cannot exist, or it can exist and they don't give a fuck.

What did current White farmers do to be punished as a group for the color of their skin?
