so now the bible forbids...

Weird shit all right. The clown seems to conflate servitude with wage laborers with selective quote mining...

fuckin...labor unions?

anyone ever heard THIS while doing time in Christianland? holy shit!

Still doing time in Christianland as you call it.

Never heard that particular approach to the subject of joining a union.

As a believer I need to be wary which organisations I join but would never thought a blanket ban was justified.
Unions can achieve a useful purpose when focused on their role and have a valuable place in society.

Dragging out all the old pro-slavery apologetics verses, I see. Says more about Kent and Thomas' outlook than they probably realize.

"Christ likewise rejected the materialism that is involved in union membership"

Unlike, say... the materialism involved in owning a company? And treating your employees like shit so you can make more money? Why would a Christian business owner be in any way threatened by or opposed to a union?

Some people get very exercised by the term 'Christian'. So a business run by a Christian could be considered fair game by some.

Bible never says anything about "Christians" except that Pagans used the term, as an insult.

Yep to all of the above. I follow these guys because a church they're connected to once knocked on my door. Kent pastors one of the very few "independent fundamental Baptist" congregations that contain any melanin, has entries in the blog about patriarchy is god's will and such. Principal of a Christian school as well. How his name doesn't come up connected to any scandals is beyond me

America's hyper-religious -- the most fervent believers -- are better than 80% in the Trump camp, which means they are fixated on the biggest con man of the age, and unable to see his real nature. Very predictable that their pastors would stamp the ungodly label on unions.
Some good news: church attendance in one nation under God has gone down by a full third since 1999.
