Twitter bans Marjorie Taylor Greene for violating COVID-19 misinformation policy : NPR
Greene was temporarily suspended from Twitter in January 2021 for violating the company's "civic integrity" policy, which the company had used to remove thousands of QAnon-related accounts. Greene has endorsed the QAnon conspiracy theory in the past.

In May she faced criticism from her own party and beyond after comparing COVID-19 safety measures to the treatment of Jews during the Holocaust.
Twitter Permanently Suspends Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Account - The New York Times

It's her personal account - @mtgreenee
Her official-business account - @RepMTG - is still active.

Twitter suspended Ms. Greene’s account after she tweeted on Saturday, falsely, about “extremely high amounts of Covid vaccine deaths.” She included a misleading chart that pulled information from a government database of unverified raw data called the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, or VAERS, a decades-old system that relies on self-reported cases from patients and health care providers.

Twitter said that Ms. Greene had a fifth “strike,” which meant that her account will not be restored. The company had issued her a fourth strike in August after she falsely posted that the vaccines were “failing.” Ms. Greene was given a third strike less than a month before that when she had tweeted that Covid-19 was not dangerous for people unless they were obese or over age 65, and said vaccines should not be required.
So she posted some demonstrably false anti-vax claims rather (say) JAQing off -- Just Asking Questions.
On the alternative social messaging platform Telegram, Ms. Greene said that Twitter “is an enemy to America and can’t handle the truth.”

Maxine Waters can go to the streets and threaten violence on Twitter, Kamala and Ilhan can bail out Black Lives Matter terrorists on Twitter, CNN and the rest of the Democrat Propaganda Media can spread Russia collusion lies, and just yesterday the Chief spokesman for terrorist IRGC can tweet mourning Soleimani, but I get suspended for tweeting VAERS statistics.

Twitter is an enemy to America and can’t handle the truth.

That’s fine, I’ll show America we don’t need them and it’s time to defeat our enemies. They can’t successfully complete a Communist revolution when people tell the truth.

Social media platforms can’t stop the truth from being spread far and wide. Big Tech can’t stop the truth. Communist Democrats can’t stop the truth.

I stand with the truth and the people. We will overcome!

In a clip she called “21 wins for 2021,” the progressive lawmaker breathlessly recounted her victories in the face of challenges. Ocasio-Cortez exuberantly noted that she reintroduced her Green New Deal legislation with new co-sponsors, raised millions for victims of the winter storm in Texas and passed, with Congress, nearly $7 million in community project funding for her district in the Bronx and Queens.
Not just AOC, but also Cori Bush, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Marie Newman, Pramila Jayapal, and Mondaire Jones announced their achievements over the past year.

Given what happened to Trump and MTG, will some other right-wing jerks try provoking Twitter and Facebook and the like into banning them? They may then call themselves martyrs, persecuted by censorious left-wingers.

Something like  Suicide by cop.

Also like killing one's parents and then begging for mercy because one is an orphan.

That Marjorie scoffed at the notion of supporting anti-censorship legislation is indicative of her true intent: to remain a victim.

She doesn't want solutions and she doesnt care if you get censored. She just wants to be a victim so she can keep asking you for campaign donations. It'sa scam.

Seeing a lot of manufactured outrage by some people lately. They're worried they're losing their grip on your attention. Because they are.

They lash out in the hopes you' ll pay attention to them again. Kinda sad, really.

And @realmarjoriegreene, instead of playing the victim about censorship maybe use your position as a LEGISLATOR to help pass LEGISLATION against censorship.

Luckily I've already done all the hard work for you and drafted a bill that would change Section 230 to prohibit political censorship.

Want to co-sponsor before I introduce it? Or prefer to keep up with petty and childish attacks? Your call.
This is so fun.

Trump blasts 'low-life Twitter' after Greene's account suspended | TheHill
Trump called the social media network "a disgrace to democracy" adding that the company "shouldn't be allowed to do business in this Country."

"Marjorie Taylor Greene has a huge constituency of honest, patriotic, hard-working people," Trump said. "They don’t deserve what’s happened to them on places like low-life Twitter and Facebook."

He then encouraged his supporters to "drop off" both Twitter and Facebook calling them "boring" "hated by everyone" and claimed they only portray left-leaning views.

"They are a disgrace to our Nation. Keep fighting, Marjorie!" Trump said.
What a sore loser.

Marjorie Traitor Greene-- The Lowest Common Denominator The GOP Has Been Dragged Down To
Diversity of opinion is the lifeblood of our democracy. And yet that fundamental American value is under assault by Big Tech—entities that have amassed more power and more control over more speech than any other institution in history. Their recent decisions to silence Americans — including a sitting member of Congress and renowned physicians — who share views different from the political and media elite have real world costs.
Marginalized quacks is more like it.
In fact, as we get more information on the virus it is clear many of the views once demonized by technology companies and the political elite are turning out to be true. The doctrines of lockdowns, school closures, and the threat of covid-19 illness according to age groups and previous infection are currently being reversed. On the other end of the spectrum, Americans on the political left, including popular cable news hosts, members of Congress, and even the Vice President have themselves made public comments that are now universally understood to be false. Yet, they face no repercussions from the gatekeepers of America’s town square.

It is clear any speech that does not fit Big Tech’s orthodoxy gets muzzled. America is poorer for that conduct. Congressional Democrats, despite having a majority in both Houses of Congress, have shown zero interest in passing laws that will promote a diversity of views. To that end, I have directed our relevant committees and task forces to continue their work in getting answers – voluntarily or through rigorous congressional oversight — from Twitter and other Big Tech companies surrounding their decision to silence certain Americans and to hold these companies accountable. Big Tech platforms should not be allowed to use the shield of Section 230, which was designed to foster an open internet, to censor first amendment protected free speech. House Republicans will be ready to take action that protects Americans when they express their constitutionally safeguarded views, just like we have laws on the books today that prohibit discrimination by corporations in many other contexts.

The American experiment is dependent on the freedom and ability of Americans to express themselves, which Republicans are fighting to preserve.
Right-wingers' imitations of Bernie Sanders about Big Tech I find VERY unconvincing. I'm also unimpressed by their posture of victimhood. Where is there willingness to take responsibility for their actions?

Marjorie Taylor Greene brags about flouting House mask rules: 'I'm up to almost $90,000 in fines' - Raw Story - Celebrating 17 Years of Independent Journalism
"I think it's obvious with the high amount of cases, Covid has continued," Greene told Newsmax, "and there are very shutdown areas that masking doesn't work and there are studies that show that as well as vaccinated people continuing to catch Covid. And that's very concerning to me."

"I'm very much against masks, especially for children," she continued. "I think it's awful to mask children when they virtually have no threat from Covid. They need to be free to speak, smile and learn. And the only way they can do that is without a mask on their face."

...
"I'm up to almost $90,000 in fines because I believe as a representative, in order to represent the people, I have to be willing to do it myself. And that's why I don't wear a mask. I'm just trying to fight the fight for the people who are against it."
