How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

It's highly possible that he did. From his perspective, a massive terrorist attack in Moscow might have been just what he thought he needed to distract people from the bad publicity he got over Navalny's murder and lack of enthusiasm for his invasion of Ukraine. I don't think he is the kind of person who cares about large numbers of people dying, even if they are Russians. Russian martyrs are useful to him.

It's highly possible that he did. I think US deliberately withheld crucial info.
Current theory is that, Ukrainians hired ISIS-K to do the teract on March 7-8 during Shaman concert in the Crocus Hall.
Shaman is extremely popular patriotic singer in Russia, so it's natural and typical for ukro-regime to do something like that.
So they employed their Central Asia ISIS-K contacts for that. US intercepted ISIS communication and "informed" Russians.
Russians increased security at the concert and terrorists decided to skip/delay it. Then Ukro-regime cancelled the whole thing because they wanted Shaman concert specifically. But ISIS-K decided to do it anyway 2 weeks later.
How much US intelligence knew? Some of their claims imply that they knew the place and time, that is consistent with their public warning mentioning only 2 days and "concerts"
 
Meanwhile, Little Napoleon ordered his defense minister (!!!) to call his russian counterpart and ask him what he thinks about Istanbul agreements :D That's the state of diplomacy in Fifth Republic.

Americans did the similar but with chinese, calling them and discussing what to do about Ukraine. To which chinese gave a usual lecture about .... Taiwan.

I would love to see some diplomacy. But I don't think that Russia is sincere. The problem with the Istanbul agreements is that they would leave Ukraine weak and unable to fend off future attacks by Russia.

And it's not really the point here. The point here is that west is trying to get back in time and and undo the subbotage they did.

Put aside your feelings for the west. What does a temporary truce do for Ukraine? Ukraine has greatly suffered in this war. Their infrastructure destroyed. Many people killed. Children kidnapped. Goods looted. They don't want a forever war. The problem is that it appears that Russia just wants a temporary truce in order to rebuild its military and then attack again. You've said it yourself many many times on this forum that Russia wants all of Ukraine. Unconditionally. I believe you.

Russia was not offering temporary anything in 2022
Russia was offering Ukraine their Eastern part in exchange for no NATO and autonomy for eastern Ukraine.
And now french are trying to go back to that. Even the fucking Clown suggested that. But he literally blurted his plan for it to be temporary, fucking piece of shit.

They publicly warned Americans to stay away from crowded areas in Moscow. Other European nations did too.

Man, the evidence of ISIS-K doing it must be incontrovertible as Putin isn't even trying to say it was the Ukrainians. Instead we get this shitty juxtaposition by Russia. Who'd ever have thought?

Terrorists were paid (ISIS does not do that)
Terrorists did not die (ISIS generally use suicide terrorism)
Terrorists tried to escape to Ukraine
 
Also, Regime in Washington made a statement about Ukraine's non-involvement in 50 minutes after the news.
That suggests that they either knew everything (and did not properly warn russians) or they thought that ukrainians might be involved.

I agree with you that Russia dosnt want peace. Hence the reason why your country hasn’t been invited to the party in Switzerland. The Swiss purpose is to figure out to further protect food and energy supplies for the world, nuclear safety, release of prisoners of war, reductions of tension and misery, economic development, trade, and etc. Things that Russia doesn’t give a shit about.

You were warned. We publicly warned Americans about it too. That is on Putin and Russian intelligence... assuming they didn't allow it, which is suspect as the response to the attack was so slow.

Clearly there was enough chatter for us to ID the location and the attack before it happened. And of course, it is a bit quicker to ID chatter when you know what you are looking for.
