Trump falls!! Hurt too

Also, here is a news article on that subject:

Using the word "shrapnel" is a very polite way of not taking away the hero worship of Trump.
It's technically incorrect, too. Shrapnel is bits of a weapon that is designed to disintegrate, such as a fragmentation grenade or a case shot.

It is named for the inventor of case shot, Henry Shrapnel (1761-1842), whose 'Shrapnel Shell' was first used in 1804.
Spalling or debris is more accurate, I think? Or at least closer.

If the person is qualified, there is no reason to point out they were a “dei” pick.
I disagree. The question is not whether X meets minimum qualifications, but that discriminatory selection (by e.g. considering only black females for positions such as SCOTUS justice, Veep or US Senator from California) makes it unlikely that the best person for the job will be selected.
How quaint you think there is a single best person for a political position.

It is also a big middle finger who does not belong to the favored demographic. Dems already struggle for support from white men. Overtly discriminating against us will not help this.
Doesn’t bother this white man. Of course, I don’t think the world should revolve around me. And I realize that inclusion in politics is important.
That.
Political “demographics” are constructs, but voters are people. As a principle, a politician who fails to make equity and inclusion part of their pitch is called an ex-politician or a Fox talking head. It’s really only the diversity thing that’s divides us. America is racist AF.

Splinter

Hmmm....

How tall is Kyle Rittenhouse again? Oh yeah, 5'8"

The idea that people would like for an untrained firearms enthusiast with no law enforcement experience, to run the Secret Service and expect better results because of his "shoot first" mentality is really a sign of the issue the alt-right have with problem solving.

He's actually 6'8" but the last foot is ... uh ... secret.
I've told this before... USSS was one of our customers. A lot of buying goes on at the sector level so as a preferred vendors we'd get a lot of calls from unfamiliar agents. One day, one called, gave me a credit card# and a list of stuff he needed, then hung up. In those days you could *69 someone to call them back so I did that, and got the agent back. "Uh, one more thing sir. I need to know where you want all this stuff sent. UNLESS IT'S SECRET!".
He laughed, a very short laugh. Those guys are pretty badass afaict.

And given that they still can't confirm it I think it's pretty much a given that it was a splinter.

And more drops:

It's a pic of The Felon after the Secret Service lets him get up.

Note the distribution of the blood. I see blood in his hair but not on his ear. Looking more and more like a splinter.

An FBI Director should not have said so. They have the gun with them.

I'm not even mildly curious whether a bullet or a splinter hit Donald Trump's ear. Maybe he even bruised his fanny when he fell on it. It was an attempted assassination that failed. A deranged kid with a terrorist-grade assault rifle tried to kill him. A piece of Donald Trump's ear is now missing, so he has a trophy wound to display to his throngs of admirers. The only lesson to take away from that is that we shouldn't let people have terrorist-grade assault rifles, and we should do a better job of controlling civilian ownership of guns generally.
