The unsuccessful coup was 1/6.Did not know this either. Didn't Biden get inaugurated on January 20th? Was there an unsuccessful coup or a whole bunch of violence on January 20th? How was Biden becoming POTUS on the correct date not a peaceful transfer of power?
Remember, 1/6 wasn't about actually taking power. Rather, 1/6 was about disrupting the certification. The Constitution has a fallback for what to do--Congress votes, 1 vote per state. That would have given it to The Felon. Just because it was a very indirect approach doesn't make it not a coup.
