One doesn’t simply “switch to Kamala”. Ingrained behavior only becomes ingrained by repetition. Hillary became Crooked Hillary in plenty of time (30 yrs) to sufficiently vilify her. But Biden didn’t fully become “Sleepy Joe” in time (a few years) for Trump to prevail.
Sure, they’ve been banging on Harris a little bit for a few years but hell - she doesn’t even have the catchy nickname yet. Or does she? Does Kami have the catchy nickname? What is it???

I will say I prefer Kamala's laugh over Marrisa Mayer (former CEO of Yahoo). That is some seriously grating stuff. Sorta scary even. It was easy to see that pardon coming, even though he said he wouldn't do it. Joe's not running again, so what has he got to lose? But yeah, its probably for the best. Hunter is his only son now, and Joe is probably in his last days. Let them have their time together.

Especially since Trump seems bent on using the DoJ to go after political enemies. Hunter Biden could have faced endless harassment without this pardon. And it is only fair, given the egregious examples of Trump's use of pardons to favor his cronies, not to mention his using the promise of pardons to entice supporters to risk breaking laws. Hunter Biden has already faced far greater scrutiny than others that are charged with his type of crimes.

Hunter received not just any old pardon but a "full and unconditional" pardon; any offenses against the United States since Jan. 1 2014. I see the point in that it keeps the Trump administration from looking for any other barely significant tidbits to harass Hunter with, like from his foreign businesses dealings. Note: Hunter joined the board of Burisma in Apr 2014.

Personally, I think it would have been better to say that Biden was to be held responsible for any of his convictions and pardoned of all other actions. Double jeopardy protects Biden from reprosecution (I don't think SCOTUS would violate that). This provides cover for Pres. Biden regarding the "moral high ground" (fuck the moral high ground arguments of people that support Trump) and Hunter from being exploited by a vindictive Trump.
As I watch federal regulatory powers evaporate in SCOTUS and Trump lining up a doozy of a second Administration team, I really find it hard to give a fuck about one of the most molehill scandals in America's history.
