What comes next after the Trump win?

The Russians probably don't have any nuclear weapons that work.
Why not?

ICBM missiles are no longer needed to start a nuclear war.

Anyone could put a dirty bomb into a delivery van and detonate it in DC or London or Tokyo.
Nuclear warfare has become more technologically sophisticated since the 70s.

Drones have become more sophisticated as well. How hard would it be to deliver enough radioactive poison to an urban area to cause mass chaos?

I'm glad I'm old and don't have to care about what these apes with opposable thumbs get up to in the future.
Tom
Dirty bombs are utterly useless as weapons of war. Their effect is mostly psychological - they might be good for terrorists, but nation states need H-bombs, and H-bombs need tritium and delivery ststems, both of which cost billions a year to maintain - and those billions need to actually be spent on maintaining missiles and warheads, rather than on the Colonel's vodka and hookers fund.

Russia has no working nuclear arsenal.

They don't really need nukes at this point. Because there are a lot of morons (especially conservatives), they have a very effective system of spreading misinformation, ultimately resulting in getting someone into a government who will be able to, say, get vaccines revoked from approval and banned.

I saw you with another guy. And I thought you loved only me.

Trump-47 is aiming to be the Three Stooges version of Naziism.

Karl Marx said:
History repeats itself, first as a tragedy, second as a farce.
Mark Twain said:
Truth is stranger than fiction, but it's because Fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities; truth isn't.

As Marx said, “History repeats itself, first as a tragedy, second as a farce.”

The Trump cabal truly reminds me of the Germans in Hogan’s Heroes, but deadlier.

The recent Lincoln Project video makes fun of "President Musk" and "Vice President Trump."

Will this be too much for Trump's ego to take? What's the chance that Trump will soon decide he doesn't want Musk around after all?

Trump needs a constant attention rush and he needs more attention than he sees others getting. At some point he'll see Musk getting more attention than he's getting and will chuck Musk.

He is aware of Panama's problems with reduced water levels and its substantial impact on the Canal?

Of course, someone just told him to say that. But the Canal has issues. Trying to take it over... and have Panama pay for it would be a pretty bad case of timing. In fact, I ponder whether Panama might just give it back. Trump's Folly... that was really a folly.

The tide may turn for Trump when we're at war with Greenland and our boys start coming home with crippling wounds and exhausted gag reflexes from IEWRs (improvised exploding whale rectums.)

Ya know, in his first term the people around him in the White House would try to keep him from doing his craziest ideas, distract him, whatever to prevent his bullshit from completely fucking over the country. In his new term he has a whole different team, that will talk him out of stuff, and distract him, so they can completely fuck over the country with their even crazier bullshit. He doesn't want a theocracy, but the people around him are likely to push for it, and just use him to get it done.

Yes, and just think of the first term ideas he had, that were never acted on....
Missiles into Mexico, to take out drug cartels...
Detonating a nuclear bomb inside a hurricane....
Disinfectants and bright light inside sick folks' innards...
Shooting border crossers in the legs...
Using the military against protesters...
Pulling out of NATO...
Legal action against NBC, because he was constantly being mocked on Saturday Night Live...
Probably dozens more we don't know about. This time around he's so full of high-octane self-deification, we are going to witness a full-on mentally ill Presidency. The NATO withdrawal is probable, and since he's already launching a blizzard of media lawsuits (the Des Moines Register claim is especially mental), you can be 100% sure he'll try to destroy the free press (to whatever extent we still have one.)

That's why Trump will send Corporal-General RFK Junior along. He has experience combating dead whales.

I read an opinion by two former Clerks at the Supreme Court that Congress will be derelict if it disobeys the 14th Amendment and accepts electoral votes for an ineligible felon/traitor. The Supreme Court did NOT rule against this; instead they implied that this statutory vote on January Sixth was the proper venue to reject votes for ineligible candidates. (But obviously a majority of such Congresscritters WILL be so derelict if/when they vote on the mailed-in electoral votes.)

A more pressing concern is that the House will be unable to vote on 6 January because they will be unable to agree on a Speaker. A more exasperating result of such QOPAnon ineptitude will be disappointed relatives of incoming Representatives. Their grandchildren took time out from school to fly to Washington and see Grandma sworn in. They do NOT want to wait in Washington for a slapstick comedy like we saw in 2023.

Was anyone so masochistic as me to watch the 2023 Speaker votes on live TV? Whenever the Clerk announced that no surname had received a majority, a QOPAnon delegate immediately stood up and nominated someone for Speaker. Commentators implied that NO OTHER motion would be in order.

I did NOT understand why nobody stood up to say, "Madame Clerk: I move that this House suspend its rules to permit Madame Clerk to serve as Temporary Speaker in order to swear in the Members. After all, we have grandchildren eager to get their photo ops today so they can return to school and escape from this buffoonish loony-bin."

After all, sovereign legislatures always(?) have the authority to set rules which do not violate a Constitution, and this is confirmed by Article I:
United States Constitution said:
The House of Representatives shall chuse their[sic] Speaker and other Officers ...
...
Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings

But the “libertarian” free speech absolutists insist that Trump and Musk are the saviors of free speech. We can’t have free speech until the FCC shuts down websites that publish about media bias.
