Charlie Kirk shot in Utah

Well, the price of liberty is some gun deaths every year. What? I'm just saying what Charlie Kirk said.
Charlie said some very unfortunate things. It is unsurprising that some of that misfortune should visit itself upon him.
Looks like he had maybe twenty seconds before bleeding out, so... sayanara Charlie unless there was immediate intervention. If that was an AR round, no intervention would likely save him.
Unfortunate? lol, he stood for something.
Actually he sat, then fell over for it.

Now there has been a drive-by shooting at Tim Pool's property. Nobody's hurt. Tim Pool isn't even conservative, just a liberal who deviates from the party line and is willing to criticize his own side.
Who? This person didn't go to high school? So he is a professional talker.

Meanwhile:
article said:
Pool’s remarks come shortly after he claimed in a post on X that a person "opened fire" while approaching his property in a vehicle. He said in the post that there were no injuries, that his team is reviewing the incident and will be "relaying the report to appropriate law enforcement."
You know, if I was shot at, I'd call the LEOs first, then start looking into things.

Oddly enough, he sounds like he is saying his show might stop because of costs... right when he or his establishment was 'violently assaulted'.
article said:
"At what point do we say we can't do this anymore? The cost of running Tim Cast IRL studio and the projects around it exceeds the amount of money it brings in," Pool said. "That's just that breaking point, isn't it? For any business."

"The cost isn’t cameras or lights, the cost is security," he added: "We can’t forgo security, but we can’t sustain it either."

Pool is a right-wing influencer. He has once in the past described himself as centrist and "center libertarian left," but the vast majority of his positions are alt-right conspiracy theories and pro-Trump. He also said he is pro-Bernie. He is kind of like RVonse. Pro-Trump on almost everything, anti-Democrat, and occasionally will name-drop Bernie to get some cred. Or you could say he is like how Bill O'Reilly used to call himself a centrist while being a registered Republican or how some Christian influencers will falsely claim they used to be atheists. The most interesting thing about Pool is he seems to have been paid by the Russians to influence things the way he was doing so. To try to put this in the broader context of the thread, many influencers are being bankrolled and Charlie Kirk wasn't an exception.

Yeah, but there is no such thing as the "alt right", that's a Woke conspiracy. Everyone is a "liberal" these days. Or if you really need to be specific, a "classical liberal". Don't call them neoliberals though, they hate that too.

With gun violence in the news of another Anglophonic country, it seemed good to mention the latest news about Kyle Rittenhouse.

Kyle IIRC was a teenager given a semi-automatic rifle for his 16th(?) birthday, and traveled to a protest far from his home to "help protect businesses from looting." Kyle cowardly shot three men, two of them died. The two dead men were unarmed when Rittenhouse shot them.

While most rational Americans thought Kyle should have just stayed home rather than taking his rifle to a scene of potential violence, Trumpists and their ilk tend to regard Rittenhouse as a hero. He's getting rich, and may run for political office when he's old enough.

One Infidel seems happy to support Rittenhouse:

The entire difference between America’s Left and Right can be summarized by comparing how the Right reacted to Kyle Rittenhouse, and how the Left reacted to Tyler Robinson.

The Right widely, openly, unabashedly celebrated Kyle Rittenhouse; made him a hero.
There is a big difference between shooting three people in self defense, and assassinating a person because you don't like his speech.

Why are you comparing the two? A better comparison would be that guy who murdered the MN lawmakers.

In the latest Rittenhouse news Kyle is defending what appears to be a cold-blooded murder in Florida as "Stand your ground."
Sheriff Adkinson said:
I don’t normally take the time to speak to public comments on cases, certainly not open cases. But in this particular situation, a murder that occurred yesterday in Walton County, I feel compelled to respond to what I can only call wildly irresponsible. I would say motivated by many factors, none of them in the interest of justice in which individuals, particularly Kyle Rittenhouse and his attorney, Anthony Sabatini, are attempting to frame the murder here in Walton County on Thursday of Mr. Keen as a Stand Your Ground case or wrapping it in the Constitution or that it is Second Amendment case.

After 30-something years of doing this, I very rarely get personally offended, but I’m actually just kind of disgusted with them.
