Honestly I don't have any ideas as to why he is acting different.

I know that for people like Patooka, saying anything other than "he is awful" is considered praise, so simply making the neutral statement "he is acting different" is considered praise. At least you took my post seriously and noticed that he is indeed acting different. It shows you can read.

No, I don't know why he is acting different. I wish I had an idea why. Unlike most people in politics, Trump has always been a little harder to figure out to the point where he can be predicted.

Pause here so Patooka can respond "of course he can be predicted, he'll do something bad". Okay Patooka, but what bad thing in particular? That's the point of my posting this in the first place.

My first suspicion was that the pro-war party had finally gotten to him. It's a bi-partisan party, and it control a significant portion of the permanent government bureaucracy. Still, that doesn't fit very well because he lasted 5 years resisting them. The last time a president significantly resisted the pro-war party was Kennedy. Maybe they said the same thing to him. I simply don't know.

Jeffrey Epstein claimed he gave Russians insight into Trump

Nearly a month before President Donald Trump met Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Helsinki in 2018, Jeffrey Epstein attempted to pass a message to Russia’s top diplomat: If you want to understand Trump, talk to me.

“I think you might suggest to putin that lavrov can get insight on talking to me,” Epstein wrote in a June 24, 2018, email to Thorbjorn Jagland, a former prime minister of Norway who was leading the Council of Europe at the time of the exchange. Lavrov was an apparent reference to Sergei Lavrov, Russia’s longtime foreign minister.

In the email exchange, one of hundreds released Wednesday by congressional investigators, Epstein indicated he had previously talked about Trump with Vitaly Churkin, Russia’s forceful ambassador to the United Nations, before Churkin died in 2017.


“Churkin was great,” Epstein, the late convicted sex offender, wrote. “He understood trump after our conversations. it is not complex. he must be seen to get something its that simple.”

The exchange was among dozens that showcase Epstein’s extraordinary network of international associates, whom he often corresponded with about Trump’s first-term policy decisions.

And has helped to entrench the whole gestalt of wealth as an indicator of wisdom, leadership, general savvy and deservedness. He has helped stimulate a grotesque indulgence of the current crop of multibillionaires, furthering their already hyperactive greed.

Trump has since taken it down, according to his news conference. He claimed it was supposed to depict him as a doctor helping people but only the ‘fake news’ or ‘liberal’ media could have seen it as depicting him as Jesus. Because you know, he wants to help people and he thinks he’s helped a lot of people..

To be fair, Gavin Newsom does appear to be somewhat of an insufferable prick. From what I've seen he's spent his entire political career angling for the Presidency, is fake as fuck, and even was the wife of Donald Trump Jr.'s main squeeze, current Ambassador to Greece, and poster child for "MAGA Face" Kimberly Guilfoyle.

Yeah, I have him in my bucket of "plastic Democrats".

They're like Barbie/Ken Dolls: fake and lacking in resolve; Pliable, and artificially posed.

The Democrats mistakenly seem to think they can get what they want from a leader "flexible enough" to represent whatever the party becomes, but one that is flexible enough to represent a shifting group of people and shift right along with them is also flexible enough to be bent into corruption or twisted around into ineffectiveness.

What we need, instead, is someone who has some solid foundation and who represents the idea behind the ideas of the progressive Zeitgeist rather than having the Zeitgeist itself blow them about willy-nilly until a corruption happens.
