So finally the Turks let scientist do a study of the famous Durupinar site with ground penetrating radar and they confirmed in a preliminary report that there are clear lines, voids and structures that are not natural. Take that you evilutionist!

Of course there’s been no peer review.

And the ones doing the study are confirmed fundies.

But hey, it’s proof!

From the article:
completely unbiased and objective investigator said:
I am 100% sure that they come from the same original object. What that original object was, a ship or a spacecraft or what, I do not know.

Well, that's it, I'm converting.
Oh wait -- I have cousins who tell me the Shroud of Turin image was impressed on the cloth with supernatural amounts of ultraviolet radiation... so maybe there's conclusion-jumping going on?
I will get on board when they uncover Noah's medicine chest. With his age being 600, I'd expect to see Coumadin, Simvastatin, Fibercon, Gas-X (a gift from Mrs. Noah), Cialis (not a gift from Mrs. Noah), and pluto water.
With at least one Rx that names Noah as the patient (which would give his last name, too. What's your guess? Latke? Zark? Doolittle? Trump?)

Good luck detecting a timber structure that's been buried for thousands of years using GPR.

If they've detected something, I am confident that it's not gonna be a wooden ship that was buried more than 500 years ago.
500? Based on Bible chronology, Noah's flood was between 4350 and 4500 years ago (unless I mistook your meaning.)
So somewhere around 2400 BCE. You know, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, at least according to Mabel, the friendly tour guide at Ark Encounter.

What I wonder is who had the job of shoveling the manure over the side. The stink of feces and urine form all the critters must have been unbearable.

If there was anything to the stories of the existence of the Ark Of The Covenant and Noah's Ark I expect Israel would be all over it.

My guess is Israeli archeologists have been over alleged sites of Noah's Ark.

I think where ever the ark could have rested, all that timber would likely be used for building their individual homes between them, their store houses/sheds,animal pens, fencing, and furniture, etc & etc..

There'd be no trace of an ark form at the spot where it would have landed. Why chop more trees when the timber is already at hand? The Lord provides. 😊

Sure, I understand that the ark story is set a few thousand years ago. But 500 is pretty much the limit for detecting wooden structures with GPR - once the wood itself is all rotted away, (which can happen much faster), there's basically nothing to detect on radar. The void is filled by silt, which is barely different from the surrounding soil, and even an excavation by highly skilled archaeologists may miss it.

A thousand year old timber structure creates visible shading of the soil that can be found by a dig. But no GPR return. After several thousand years, even such faint visible signs are unlikely.

I shall take a wild stab in the dark, and suggest that Mabel may not be an expert in the archaeological application of ground penetrating radar. Nor in paeleontology. Nor in history. Nor in, well, any relevant field.

I have never logged out of any site anywhere at any time. I just close out the window.

Using the ark to build a house?

According to the biblical account in Genesis Flood Narrative, the entire flood event lasted approximately one year and 10 to 11 days (370 to 371 days) from start to finish

Rotting vegetation animal carcasses and dead insets would be a toxic environment. Everything would probably be covered in fungus,.

There isn't an absolute limit on how old the materials are that can be detected by ground penetrating radar. If there's a significant cavity to be found, GPR can potentially detect it. Would I expect the remains of a 5,000 year old boat to turn up on a GPR survey? Of course not. But then I wouldn't expect the remains of a hundred year old boat left exposed on the surface to turn up either. Wood rots quickly.

I'm not so bent on these "We found the Ark" news stories. They seem to be few and far between in my navigation of the internet. What I am getting tired of is the constant "We found Amelia Earhart's plane!" stories showing up on youtube. I wish they just find the damn thing so I can get on with my life. They excalim, "we really got it this time!" and it turns out to be a vaguely plane shaped rock pile or cocoanut tree.
