How should west respond to Russian invasion of Ukraine?

You need to start watching the videos
And Moscow Bob wonders why people think he is full of shit.

"I'm right! just watch my 2 hour long video with zero context!"

Congrats Bob. You just made yourself as credible as RVonse with his bullshit about the 2020 election.
You watch CNN-BBC shit all day long, 2 hours would not be too hard for you.

People often bring up Stalin purges and stuff.
But if you look at the actual cases, you will quickly realize that origin of that shit was very real.
Capitalist counterrevolution intelligence did in fact was running around oRussia and scheming. There can't be any doubt.
It went well overboard in the end but Stalin's paranoia had a basis in reality.

USA had McCarthyism too. So so-called "democracies" are not immune to that shit. And what is happening in Europe reminds me early stages of that.
Remind us all again how many were executed under McCarthyism vs. Stalin's purges.
Do we include Salem Witches? And simply wrong people executed in the 20s century in US?
We will not extend the period beyond the McCarthy era which you used as the reference point.
But thank you for confirmed the huge number of unnecessary deaths of innocent people. Inadventarly of course.

I don't post in this thread too much, but this seems like big news:

Trump wants to win the election and do whatever it takes to win. So, reducing the price of diesel is a means to that end. It seems like this is a very bad thing for Ukraine and it seems also like (temporarily) easing of sanctions is implied. But I am not so sure. I _do_ feel like Trump may want to convince Republicans to be even more pro-Russia so that he has no political or moral obligations to Ukraine. That would free him to be more of a dictator clown. Thoughts?

He's lying.

Russia's entire crude oil exports in 2023 , let alone refined diesel, were a small fraction of the numbers Trump stated.

It gives Trump someone to blame for diesel prices. What I've read so far is it isn't going to move the needle much. It does put some pressure on Ukraine to ease up on strikes. Kushner and Witkoff warned Ukraine, intel on Russia might be withheld if they didn't ease up. European nations can provide plenty of intel. I think what Ukraine would lose in what the US provides is the early warning of movement and precision targeting of moved Russian assets.
My take is this is just for election purposes only. Ukraine might go easy on refineries until after November 3rd. They hit Yandex (Russian Google). I'm sure Ukraine can stay busy elsewhere for a few weeks.

Russian milbloggers recently acknowledged Ukrainian advances east of Slovyansk and Kramatorsk, possibly after months of battlefield shaping efforts similar to those which Ukrainian forces conducted in the months leading up to Operation Vivaldi in the Lyman direction.

Russian milbloggers are acknowledging that these Ukrainian counterattacks in the Slovyansk and Kramatorsk directions may have cascading effects and implications for Russian efforts to seize the Fortress Belt.

Ongoing Russian efforts to use glide bomb strikes to shape the battlefield in the Donetsk Oblast Fortress Belt resulted in mass civilian casualties on October 8.

European officials continue to name Russia as the party responsible for sabotage against European defense industrial enterprises involved in manufacturing and delivering weapons to Ukraine.
