Oh goodness, I think that is an exaggeration. Bush v Gore... that was hell. It lasted into mid-December... roughly half a trillion court cases. Roger Stone et al storming the Palm Beach Canvassing Board. Dimpled chads?! In the end, W wins via ballots, but only because of a poorly designed Palm Beach Butterfly ballot which gave too many intended Gore votes to Buchanan. That was the difference. While Nadar votes helped Gore lose, it was the unintended Buchanan votes meant for Gore that indicated Florida meant to vote Gore into the White House... and my gawd... how this world could have been so much different.FUCK!!!
NY Times Election Tracking Site said:Philadelphia officials said they’d release another update of votes from the city today, between 2,000 and 3,000 votes. The remaining 40,000 votes could take a few more days.
FUCK!!!FUCK!!!FUCK!!!FUCK!!!FUCK!!!FUCK!!!FUCK!!!
Agreed. This one is a lot harder to take than Bush vs Gore.
You never say no to the Count!
Gravel Institute on Twitter: "Biden condemned Cuba and Venezuela all the time and he had the worst Democratic performance among Hispanics in decades. Pandering doesn't work." / Twitter
Was that an effort to get the Miami Cuban vote?
Gravel Institute on Twitter: "The Lincoln Project raised $67 million to win more Republican voters to Biden. They spent it on "consultant fees." And Joe Biden just did worse among Republican voters than Hillary Clinton did in 2016. Biggest grift in years." / Twitter
Emma Vigeland on Twitter: "No matter the outcome, the fact that this election is so close is a clear indicator that Americans aren’t connecting material conditions on the ground — a depression, pandemic, low wages, etc — to the consequences of politics. Which is an abject, disgusting failure of Democrats." / Twitter
Nina Turner on Twitter: "This election has proved that Trumpism is alive and well. The sad truth is that it will be here to stay unless we can learn to deliver BIG for working people and stop marginalizing progressives.
The outcome of this election is a wake up call! https://t.co/YI93uuGuZb" / Twitter
Sunrise Movement DC on Twitter: "We know Trump is doing everything he can to steal this election. We’re in the streets and will continue to be to #DefendDemocracy and ensure every vote is counted. We can’t fight climate change or pass a #GreenNewDeal with an organized white supremacist in the People’s House. https://t.co/A3BZ96NzmY" / Twitter
One of the banners says "This is a democracy. Act like it."

Actual Prediction
I'd max out Biden's EVs at 341 if things went closer to what the polls are saying.. That still puts TX, OH, and GA in Trump's column. I just don't see them swinging.

This is more annoying than despairing. We know the result with near certainty, but can't get the balloons to drop until we have "President-Elect"... and a certainty the Republicans aren't going to fuck the Electoral College.
In 2000, the final result was not known. W's lead was cut to ~30% of what it was. And the subsequent recounts (which were slowed down by an incredibly litigious W Campaign) whittled it down to 100+ at one point. Then the FL Supreme Court has two cases annulled by SCOTUS. And W marches into the White House with barely a majority of the Electoral College and a loss in the Popular Vote... intent on running as if he won in a landslide.
I didn't like W at all. Prior to the election I noted, 'He isn't a guy you want in charge in a war'. I was young and stupid at the time (compared to older and only slightly less stupid now), but the W Admin with the Neocons definitely seemed like a recipe for problems. Oh boy! So I was hanging on every case in court. Reading the SCOTUS transcripts, the FL transcripts (while exercising on the elliptical). I was obsessed!Oh goodness, I think that is an exaggeration. My meaning was that while I despised Bush, I didn't worry that he's purposely destroy our alliances, purposely destroy the civil service, purposely destroy both public health and the economy, purposely cause a race war or purposely destroy democracy itself.
It is certain that the vote indicates Biden won. While I am not completely certain that Biden will win, I think he will.

Biden is so close to victory he can smell its hair. /colbert

The freak Kornacki is still on air, been at it all night till now.
Mrs. Elixir calls him "Cracky". Says he never changes his pants. I think she's right on both counts.
The vote is about done in NC. The reason it isn't called yet is a mountain of 117,000 absentee ballots hadn't come in yet (may never). So the call on NC needed to wait.Leans back in his armchair taking a deep puff off a cheap Cuban cigar: "I think Biden might flip North Carolina."
Plucks ashes onto floor & exhales words and smoke: "What? Is it really that unbelievable?".
Didn't like the way MSNBC cut Trump's live press conference (sans questions) off after the first sentence. Then they have Nichol Wallace come on again after he's done and start trying to justify what they did. They forced me to switch down one channel to FoxNews to hear what BS he had to deliver. I don't appreciate their edifying what is and isn't news. Fortunately Maddow didn't back them up. Quite embarrassing.
They have no obligation to allow anyone to use their platform to spread lies. Further, I would think their concern is by allowing such blatant falsehoods to be aired over their network they could be abetting violence and rioting.
Except Social Media is a for-profit enterprise , not elected, or pretending to be journalists. That sounds like Trumpian rationale for hiding the truth about how serious the corona virus was back in February in order to prevent panic. In reality he was trying to make himself look good.
Well she is from Westchester. Also, she tried to pretend she has these working class roots (reminiscent of Jon Stewart's classic "Poor Off" segment) when in reality her father was a New York architect.and he claimed that AOC was a carpetbagger from Westchester County.
