She said Washington was "concerned" and the demolitions, coupled with continuing Israeli construction and settlement activity "undermine the possibility of a two-state solution."

"They also call into question the Israeli government's commitment to that two-state solution," Trudeau said.

The State Department previously made similar comments.

So far this year, Israeli forces have destroyed or dismantled around 400 homes and other structures across the West Bank, more than in the whole of 2015.

Israeli forces also confiscated 579 acres (234 hectares) of Palestinian land near the city of Jericho in the West Bank, a step the State Department also criticized.

Since the beginning of this year, especially in early February, Israel’s Civil Administration has significantly increased the pace of Palestinian home demolitions in the West Bank’s Area C under full Israeli control (about 60 percent of the West Bank).

It has demolished 293 homes in just six weeks, compared with 447 for all of 2015. The average has surged to 49 from nine per week. The demolitions have left more than 480 Palestinians, including 220 children, homeless.

Apartheid construction running at full speed ahead...

The world is not snoozing.

What can it do?

Since Israel and the US have prevented any real Palestinian sovereignty for decades of course things like this will happen.

In prison crime is common. The strong pick on the weak.

This story doesn't come up in a google news search.

ETA: Oops, sorry. Meant to hit just reply, not reply with quote.

False equivalency. Hamas evicting Gazans is not comparable to Israel evicting Palestinians in West Bank. It is equivalent to Israelis evicting other Israelis in Israel. It's an internal matter and it hardly comes as a surprise to anyone that Hamas is running a police state.

Wake us up when Hamas evicts 2500 Jews in Israel.

This (if true) is internal injustice.

It is not throwing people off their land in a foreign territory, one you are obligated to protect, and expanding into it.

Haaretz? It's a joke.
LOL...that's pretty funny coming from a guy who wants us to take some random blogger's site as evidence (which I also Googled, and came up empty yesterday after about 5 minutes of searching). You seem to be confusing 'liberal' with 'joke', as it doesn't fit your pro-Israeli dogma.

Anywho: Israeli apartheid construction running at full speed ahead...

Because they're not "Fair and BalancedTM"?

They make Faux Noise look like angels.

They're not that bad. They're just liberal. Anyway, I always balance what Ha'aretz reports against how the same incident is reported in The Jerusalem Post. In this case I can't find anything about this alleged mass eviction in either one.

Is there another source for the blogger's claims in the OP?

I would strongly suspect the source is in Arabic.

That's okay. We can use Google Translate. The important thing is to find the source.

The thins is, having another source would show there's some substance to the claims. IOW it would show that the blogger didn't just make up a story to
1) slander Hamas, and
2) lead people to believe there's some sort of massive cover-up carried out by Hamas lovers in the news media, which in turn can be used as "evidence" that the news media loves Hamas.

I'd like to know where that blogger got his information.Twenty-five hundred Gazans about to be thrown out of their homes is an important story. If there's any truth to it, I'd like to know.
