A Very Stable Genius, a new book by Washington Post reporters Philip Rucker and Carol Leonnig based on hundreds of interviews, alleges Trump seemed to know next to nothing about the events of Dec. 7, 1941 when he visited Pearl Harbor in Hawaii for a private tour of the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial alongside his former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, a retired Marine Corps general.

"Hey, John, what's this all about?" Trump reportedly asked Kelly. "What's this a tour of?"

Country music icon Garth Brooks is hearing something other than cheers from supporters of President Donald Trump who completely misunderstood the meaning of a jersey he wore to a concert in Detroit over the weekend.

Brooks’s SANDERS 20 shirt was meant to honor Detroit Lions great Barry Sanders. But Trump fans believed the name referred to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who is running for the Democratic presidential nomination, and the number of this year’s election.

Brooks said the Pro Football Hall of Famer wasn’t just the greatest player.

“He’s also one of the greatest human beings that you’ll ever get to witness and be with,” Brooks said. “He’s a good cat. It’s an honor to wear this jersey tonight.”

He also posted an image of himself in the jersey on social media and that when Trump supporters flipped out:

That's probably a good thing. Imagine how inspired Trump would feel if he actually knew about internment camps during WWII. He would double down on his immigration detention policies so quickly Stephen Miller would injure himself trying to hide his boner. Here's hoping no one tells Trump about the Know Nothings.

Despite Trump's boasts of a "blue-collar boom," inflation-adjusted wage growth fell in 48 of 50 states

President Donald Trump claimed that his economic policies led to a "blue-collar boom" and rising wages at the State of the Union address earlier this month, yet new data shows that inflation-adjusted wage growth has fallen substantially during his first two years in office compared to the end of President Barack Obama's presidency.

Middle-class incomes grew about 5.8% per year during Obama's last two years in office before slowing to 2.7% from during Trump's first two years in office, according to a new analysis by the progressive think-tank Economic Policy Institute (EPI) and investigative news outlet Capital & Main. The income data were adjusted for inflation. All but two states saw real wages fall during that time period.

"Despite what we heard at the State of the Union, the truth is that this economy is not performing well for most Americans," said EPI President Thea Lee. "At this point in the business cycle, wage and income growth for working households should be accelerating, not slowing."
