A day without stupid?

The whole article is a cringefest. :picardfacepalm:
LOL...read that as well this morning. So much covfefe stupidity in one day, so little time. Another gem from the usual Twattle source:

“Since Congress can't get its act together on HealthCare, I will be using the power of the pen to give great HealthCare to many people – FAST,”

Sure little Donny, your pen is going to do great things for something so complicated. And to quote one of the few intelligent things Don the Con has said: "You can't con people, at least not for long. You can create excitement, you can do wonderful promotion and get all kinds of press, and you can throw in a little hyperbole. But if you don't deliver the goods, people will eventually catch on."
Not his supporters. They are true believers. Trump has Limbaugh and Hannity and Prager shilling for him. It is incredible how Frankenstein's monster is just tearing down the village and the villagers are cheering him on!

but this time it may not have been for lack of quality management, but due to anti-trust issues where the NFL was able to legally squash any potential fair competition... so, Trump has an issue with the NFL from the start... they wiped out one of his many wiped out businesses.
Well, yes and no.
The alternate league was designed from the beginning to NOT compete with the NFL. To avoid legal entanglements and so on.
Then Trump talked the owners into suing the NFL so that they COULD compete. And they actually won the lawsuit! Defeated the NFL and all that.
But the effort to take the NFL on bankrupted the league, so it was a really hollow victory. A moral victory, but not a money-making sort of victory.

Of course there are some who would still support Don the Con if a sex tape came out with him and Ivanka. However, the polling data is still pretty damning, just considering since FFvC became President. The percentage of "strongly approve" started dropping last March, down about 7-10 points, bottoming in August to now around 20%. Most of that drop seem to have shifted to "somewhat approve". Meanwhile the "strongly disapprove" has moved up 10 points to about 39%, with "unsure" dropping in half to about 6%. These are historically terrible numbers for the Repugs in 2018, never mind the distant 2020 elections. Considering that the economy continued to marginally improve for another year, the numbers are even more shocking for a sitting President.

The point wasn't to compete, but to scare the NFL into letting them merge into the NFL, making their limited investment USFL teams into fabulously wealthy NFL teams. (for a contemporary example, read about the NASL and the MLS)

The NFL didn't bite on it. And instead of growing a good spring brand and making sustainable business decisions, Trump and some other owner convinced enough owners to put it all on 23 and spin the wheel.

Pretty much Trump wanted to make a fortune by not doing anything. And it failed, and a lot of money was lost. It looks like the USFL could have survived in the Spring.

But they aren't low enough, and they have plateaued. His brownshirt backers are not too small a minority.

Well, many people caught on to Christianity, but that is hardly counted as near everyone.

President Trump on Secretary of State Rex Tillerson

The whole article is a cringefest. :picardfacepalm:

Trump has the most beautiful IQ of any president in history. Believe me.

Well, first I don’t think he meant ‘everyone’, when Don the Con said ‘people’. And religion/faith is more of a philosophical thingy far more so than politics and delivering on semi-solid promises. Christian/Muslim promises are more about that afterlife which we never get to see the results. Religions also can provide a sense of community and fellowship, which could be considered a tangible by product. So comparing Christianity to the type of con he speaks of in the here and now, isn’t even up to apples and oranges…

Though the worship of Trump by his base could be as close you can get to a religion without having a deity.

Wait, are you talking about The Dotard or Rocket Man? :D But, hey some of the online Trumpeteers do seem to like the God Emperor meme...funny how in the Dune book saga, the other name for the God Emperor is Tyrant.

The following is worn out but...

What if Obama had claimed to have a higher IQ than say, anyone? It would have been the lead on every retarded Fox segment, the top of the hour on Limbaugh, etc.
If Hillary would have bragged about her intelligence? Elitist!

Trump?

Just another day in the good ol' U.S of Dumbfuck.

Right, which is why ol' Trump here just looks like Captain Obvious essentially saying that some people will be fooled and some will not.

Yes, I don't consider them as identical twins, but it is still far from a brazen lie.
Christian/Muslim promises are more about that afterlife which we never get to see the results.
As politics promises a supposed afterlife of sorts with policy that we may or may not see the supposed outcome.
Religions also can provide a sense of community and fellowship, which could be considered a tangible by product.
Sure, a swell hangout for liars, manipulators, and the weak-minded.

Of course, since I am not talking about fruit.

Never mind Mensa... I want to see Tillerson and Trump take a US Citizenship Test. On stage, on camera, timed, no earpieces. I'd even settle for multiple choice, in the interests of time.
Hell, verbal responses for those who lack the ability to read complete sentences...

"Okay, point to one of the states on the map that borders Canada. No, CANADA. CAAA-NAAA-DAAA. Now, for extra credit, can you name the state you just pointed to?"

It brings my favourite Thatcher quote to mind:

"Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren't"
