A Shiite imam makes a criminal complaint against a teacher because she wanted to shake his hand

Islamic culture sucks. The West is better on every metric that matters. We shouldn't give a flying fuck that this ingrate feels offended if someone doesn't deign to his homicidal child-rape religion.

Well, there are assholes and then there are people like this.

But I would like to read the story.

Islam is a competing form of government, not just a religion.

How is that different from Catholicism of just a few centuries ago?

Well, yeah. Christianity started as a private faith but was co-opted by the Roman State. The Protestants protested against that. But Islam, from the beginning, was political. There is no "render unto Caesar" in the Koran.

I missed the criminal complaint part in the article. I also notice how the teacher was upset with the refusal and insisted that he shake her hand. This is something that wouldn't fly in the US as you are not required to shake anyone's hand.

As usual the OP is just more alarmist crap.

Well for one we are a few centuries ahead and should not have to deal with this shit again just because of misguided immigration policies of EU leaders.

They were certainly trying to export it everywhere in the 16th century.

Have you looked at a calendar lately?

Engage your brain, please.

My point is that there is nothing special about Islam in this regard, when and where religion is allowed control of the political process, it will do so, regardless of which religion we are talking about.

Islam is not currently controlling the political systems of the EU, and will not do so any time in the foreseeable future, regardless of the wailing and gnashing of teeth from right wing fascists.

If Europe continues to import millions of Muslim migrants indiscriminately year after year it will not be long until they have a great deal of political power and only a few decades until they are majority of population. Especially since they have a huge birth rate.

And calling everyone you disagree with "right wing fascists" only plays in the hands of actual right wing fascists.

Actually existing Islam in the 21st century is very different than actually existing Christianity in 21st century. 16th century no longer exists except in history books.

It's a good thing I don't do that then, isn't it? In this case, however, it is right wing fascists who are freaking out about immigration into the EU.

How does that quote go again, I forget? Isn't something to the effect of "Those who forget about history, don't have to worry about that shit any more."

Who cares whether Islam is special or not?

We're concerned about real people living today and not long dead people we couldn't help if we wanted to. As far as religions go, the one most threatening to real people living today is Islam.

When you respond with the childish "but Christianity did it first" you are not furthering the discussion but only displaying your ignorance of the topic and lack of legitimate concern for actual human beings.

We all know the history; let's improve the present.

So here I am using online translation offered by Google and what do I get?

The father, a devout Shiite and Imam, the teacher refused to shake hands, she broke off the conversation - and now employs the case, the judiciary. Imam Kerim Ucar feels hurt in his religion dignity and discriminated against xenophobic and has filed a complaint.

Wha? Yeah I know, but, wha?

Someone wrote only read stuff from the land in which the stuff arose. That one forgot to mention it would help if one could translate the stuff oneself.

I mean really Derec. This is stuff you use to fuel your xenophobic world view? Really?

And it's because we've learned that lesson that we are so concerned when finding modern religions behaving like the 16th century nightmare of Christianity.

Should anyone take seriously an objection based off a Google translation that is literally unintelligible?
