Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter: "Boulder brought the house down this morning!
Big thanks to all the Coloradoans who joined @ JoeNeguse and I for a powerful #GreenNewDeal conversation ✨ https://t.co/YeoRVcskMu" / Twitter

noting
Eric Budd on Twitter: "I'm in line for the Climate Emergency discussion with @RepJoeNeguse and @AOC #boulder https://t.co/BdOOlRu54T" / Twitter

Jack Jenkins on Twitter: "It’s not insignificant that major politicians like @AOC are visiting undocumented people at risk of deportation who are living in houses of worship — i.e., as part of the New Sanctuary Movement.
This movement is long-standing and persistent, but gets uneven attention. https://t.co/FAD5j9iDvO" / Twitter

noting
Conor McCormick-Cavanagh on Twitter: "I’m at a church in Boulder where Ingrid Latorre, who just had a baby, is living in sanctuary. Reps AOC and Joe Neguse are visiting Ingrid and her children. “Are you proud of mom?” AOC asked Ingrid’s son, who responded yes. “We’re proud of her too.” @AOC @RepJoeNeguse https://t.co/tkZkUSKZrC" / Twitter

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter: "I’m in Colorado w/ @ JoeNeguse visiting communities whose air is being poisoned by fracking.
What we’re seeing is appalling. Companies are building fracking sites on public lands, across the street from schools + homes. Their toxic emissions are invisible.
This camera sees them. https://t.co/Kem0MT1lMj" / Twitter

FLIR Optical Gas Imaging?

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter: "We are being invited into people’s homes. One woman just showed me her recent blood test, which is sky-high in benzene levels. I’m told many others are the same.
Oil and gas co’s are going in hard to lobby+dominate local govs. But the community is organizing to fight back. https://t.co/XFZrqfFiVc" / Twitter

Yet another reason to want renewable energy.

John Spina on Twitter: @ JoeNeguse and @AOC meeting with residents in Broomfield today to discuss the affects of living next to fracking operations #ClimateCrisis https://t.co/kqQDZr5RVg" / Twitter

Something I wrote on this subject elsewhere yesterday.:

While I am in favor of impeachment. It's a crapshoot that it will be successful. And I don't mean removed from office, the senate will never do that. I mean getting or losing votes in the 2020 election. Right now, it's impeach or the status quo. And the status quo is looking pretty good right now.

Not to mention there are many Dems in the House that are still against impeachment. There's a chance it could lose in the House. That would be a HUGE disaster.

I hadn't thought of that before! Yes, I agree with you that losing an impeachment in the house would be very bad. Again, I just feel that the dems need to stop hoping for tricks. We need to get out there, organize, and vote.

Randi Rhodes explained this quite well on her Friday show. Her Friday shows are free for all to view so if you'd like to take a look...

Ironically, had she not primaried Crowley, he might have become Speaker and possibly would have had a different opinion on impeachment than Do-Nothing Pelosi.
I think it unlikely. He would have been even worse, I think. He was content to be a big fundraiser and a big power broker, and pushing for impeachment would have been too daring for him. Consider his debate with AOC during the primary campaign. He claimed that he strongly deplored the conditions in Trump's border detention camps. AOC challenged him: what did you do about that? He did not have much of an answer.

BTW, AOC's tweet with a link to the original:
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter: "At this point, the bigger national scandal isn’t the president’s lawbreaking behavior - it is the Democratic Party’s refusal to impeach him for it." / Twitter

She had earlier called for pushing ahead, even if the Republicans don't go along with it, because voting to defend Trump and his corruption will be a "stain" on their records.

Iran isn't the threatening bully. The USA is. Iran is acting defensively. When Iran attacks Mexico and stations troops there and flies drones into US airspace, then we can talk.

Israel and USA are a bigger problem for Iran. Perhaps if they negotiate in good faith with Iran all of this can be ended. Iran was complying with Obama's deal with them.
