Hey, you have like 40 million people, half of them are millionaires and half the rest are billionaires. If y’all can’t come up with another fifteen bucks each to support travel for.those without limos and planes, you shoulda taxed the rich more.

You do realize that the people who are using public transportation at those 15 stations will still have to get to work, right? And that the additional cars required to transport them will make the traffic congestion on the freeways worse, not to mention intensifying California's pollution problems.
A State's Governor is supposed to see the big picture. Newsom is supposed to weigh the costs and the benefits of policies and make the decision that benefits his state the most.
What's so terrible about the State loaning money to the agencies that run the public transit system so they can continue to provide their services to the people who rely on them?
