I was at Indy for the IMSA 6 hour event a couple years ago in Mid-Sept, and it was close to 90. Me and heat at race tracks! But that is weather. The Reuters analysis is much broader climate. You are correct. What is weird right now is that we are visiting Indy and the temps are in the 70s, about 12 to 15 degrees above average, while the temps in our town in Georgia are almost the same as here. Some days, it's ever warmer in Indy than it is in Georgia. And, this has been going on for weeks, not just a few abnormal days. It's really not that hard to see all the evidence of human caused climate change if one is open minded and willing to accept the science. Trump denies climate change but he is an idiot, and his cult believes whatever he says.Let's trigger someone with data analysis and labels. Long story short, it looks at temperature / heat waves more broadly. Their extent in temp as well as portion of the globe it impacts.
It is another way to see how things have changed since the 50s. Changed, in the sense of trending in one direction.
