Convenience store offers $50k for Kathy Griffin's head

This is clearly over the bounds of free speech, if it is actually putting a real bounty on somebody for their death. Griffin herself did something tasteless that approaches the bounds of free speech, as it could be seen as encouraging somebody to kill Trump, but at least she didn't put a bounty on the guy.

The bloody Trump head was not tasteless.

The problem is: What is the point?

What is the joke?

What is she trying to say?

I'm all for free speech. But that is for people saying something.

Allegedly the joke was meant to reference the veiled insult Trump gave to Megan Kelly that "She had blood coming out of her ... wherever."

I suspect the image went viral before some clever text could be laid over the top to turn it into a proper meme joke.

If i told you a story about a crashing plane with 4 people on board but only three parachutes, you might think I was relaying a tragic anecdote... until I mention that one of them is a blonde woman. The point is that Incomplete jokes are rarely funny.... just like this airplane one because I haven't completed the setup or given the punchline.

Yabut 2nd amendment has nothing to do with beheadings. For all I know, Jihadists might harbor the same outrage about shootings that we have about beheadings, and accept beheadings as easily as we accept shootings.
