Is it possible to get through to you that my problem is with mandates for a vaccination that does very little (if anything) to “stop the spread”?

Two vaccinated people very likely passed on the virus. Hana made her choice not to get vaccinated for whatever reason so that’s her lookout.

It would probably get through to people IF IT WERE TRUE.

The fact that there has been so much resistance to vaccination and a shortage of vaccine available for all populations while most countries/localities have done little to limit movement across borders has given rise to variants that have some degree of resistance to current vaccines.

I wish that it were possible to get through to people like you that this is a fact. I realize that it isn't a fact because freedumb.

Like they rejected the measure because the government were the ones who asked and they have been trained and lead by propaganda that centers around deposing the government so private interests can pick clean the carcass of our civilization and reinstate kings and kingdoms over resources rather than discrete lands, though sometimes that, too.

R₀ for Omicron is about 8. This implies a required vaccination rate for the whole population of 1-(1/8) = 87.5% to achieve an R_eff < 1, and thereby stop the spread of the disease.

That's the target. Given that many of the people in our whole population are infants too young to be vaccinated, or have other medical reasons why they cannot be given vaccinations, we need not just to have people who get vaccinated to "far outnumber" those who don't - simple arithmetic tells is that we need pretty much everyone who can be vaccinated to be vaccinated. And if the vaccination is less than 100% effective (and nothing is perfect), that number needs to be even higher.

As to "enough already":

What metric is anyone using when they decide it is right and proper to force medical procedures on unconsenting adult group A, solely for the benefit of group B?

We are under 2/3 vaccinated and much lower numbers who also have a booster. That's why our hospital rates are exploding even while Omicron blazes in highly vaccinated countries without swamping the hospitals.
