Marjorie Taylor Greene, a GOP candidate with a track record of incendiary rhetoric and ties to the baseless Quack-Anon conspiracy theory, prevailed in a Georgia primary runoff, CNN projected Tuesday, a victory that puts her in a strong position to win a congressional seat in the fall representing a solidly Republican district.

The victory will also put national Republicans in the difficult position of how to respond.

Greene faced off against GOP opponent John Cowan in the runoff. The two candidates previously competed against one another in a June primary election where Greene won roughly 40% of the vote, while Cowan received only 21%. A runoff was triggered after none of the candidates received over 50% of the vote in the initial primary.

The primary runoff for Georgia's 14th Congressional District, which is situated in the northwest corner of the state, drew national attention as a major flashpoint in the race has been Greene's promotion of the wild and unsubstantiated conspiracy theory known as QAnon.
This district should be a safe one for the GOP, but crazy ass white woman who is a Quack-Anon dumbass might just make people think twice about voting for a crazy ass white woman.

Now, someone might ask, why bring race into it? Or gender. Why not say crazy conservative wins runoff. That just might not be enough details to make it clear which crazy pizza pedophile ring believing idiot the conservative base selected into the General Election.

Hey, crazy-ass Republican woman in a safe district winning her primary is the price you have to pay for having crazy-ass Democrats (The Squad, Cori Bush and others) winning theirs.

If it was up to me, I'd scrap the primary system as it is working now because all to often it pushes extremes to the ticket.

Now, someone might ask, why bring race into it? Or gender.
Good question. But I guess using "white woman" as a pejorative is a-ok on the left and not at all racist.

No one used "white woman" as a pejorative unless you think it is demeaning to refer to Ms Greene (a white woman) as a white woman.

Or to express this in language some may find easier to understand - JH didnu nuffin that you claim.

If I or somebody else was writing about "crazy-ass black woman" who won the primary in St. Luis, Toni and others who defend the wording "crazy-ass white woman" would make accusations of racism.

I honestly don't know how you put up with it all. You must be very brave.

After some research, yea I have to conclude that Greene is a crazy-ass white woman.

Thing is, Derec could probably defend the use of 'crazy-ass,' at least with respect to his definition of sanity.
He could probably much more easily defend the use of 'black,' and 'woman,' at least by the crazy-ass black woman's own self-identification.

What seems to escape Derec is that the charges of racism could stem, not from his word use, but from his need to bring crazy ass women AND crazy ass black people up in just about every thread , no matter the OP's focus. We simply must be reminded that black people are just as bad, and women are worse, no matter what.
But, sure, using the word 'white,' to describe a white woman, that's reverse racism.

This candidate identifies with Quack-Anon... and Derec is upset that she was called white.

Does this Carzy Ass Republican have to face a Democrat in the general? Or is this one of those Jungle elections where it’s all complete now?

She and her crazy white ass will face a Democrat in the finals in November. Assuming we have Finals this year. Her district is so safe that someone even with a crazier ass could still win, because WHITE PEOPLE VOTE LIKE THAT TOO!

This quack won the primary and is likely heading to Congress. Probably makes Steve King look like... a slightly less crazy Steve King.

Your hypothetical "whataboutisms" are only evidence of the state of your mind, not anyone else's.

What makes them "crazy-ass"?

What would you prefer?

This woman is really nuts. She believes in all kinds of nutty conspiracy theories. She wins the prize for nutty women, although there are a few nutty men in Congress who can match her. I'm still trying to find out where her district is so I can stay away from that area. There must be something in the air or the water to make someone this nutty.

I doubt it. I live in a very conservative district and in the 22 years that I've been here, there was a Democrat who ran against the Republican only once. She was totally inexperienced and had no chance of winning, but I have to give her credit for at least trying. There are some very liberal districts in Atlanta where a Republican never runs against the Democrat incumbent, so I guess it equals out to some extent.

Well, in the case of Cori Bush, I am 100% sure that it is because she is a BLM activist, and that is all Derec needs to know. Nevermind that she was running against Lacy Clay, who held the seat for 20 years, after his dad held the seat for 30 years. The campaign ads she ran mostly focused on the Congressional seat being held by the Clays for 50 years and nothing has changed in the district, while Lacy Clay ran on the entirely different premise that the Clays have held the seat for 50 years, so why change now?

It is northwest of Atlanta, from Pauling County to Rome.
