The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag: “I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”, should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. When not in uniform men should remove any non-religious headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should remain silent, face the flag, and render the military salute. Members of the Armed Forces not in uniform and veterans may render the military salute in the manner provided for persons in uniform.

Nope. None at all. Certainly not any that are so pervasive that the people involved barely notice them any more. Nothing to see here. Move along.

The pledge was exactly my first thought, too. For now, however, Cheetum hasn't done anything to rescind a person's right to refrain from the pledge

One thing that always has to be noted.

Capitalism is perfectly compatible with fascism.

It is perfectly compatible with Chinese totalitarianism.

Capitalism has no connection to democracy.

Capitalism will not slow the move to fascism in the least. As it exists it is a catalyst to fascism.

It depends. Does the dictator allow for private business and private property or does he believe in the government running business?

Whether it is compatible does not depend.

Whether it is used depends. But if it's used before the fall to fascism it is used after. No need to change anything, except the rights of people within the system. They still behave the same, go to their work which is a petty dictatorship just the same. Openly complain less and maybe some day get murdered but the economic system stays in place. No need to change it.

Capitalism does not slow the transition to fascism in the least. It is not a moral system. It is a system that has no morality beyond, if you break the law, even if it kills people, make sure it's cost effective.
